HARD TON are the italian duo with the larger than life disco sound and a surprising love of metal. Fused together in 2008 from the musical loins of DJ Wawashi and heavy metal singer Max. Sylvester-styled falsettos conjure up memories of smoky dancefloors during the heady days of HI-NRG, which combined with a contemporary sound of accelerated beats and screaming acid basslines, shows a nod to the past can result in a slap across the face for the present. 
Using analogue and vintage gear, from the 303, 606, 707, Oberheim DMX, Korg Monopoly, MS20, Prophet V5, the music is as organic as synthetic music can be, their equipment living and dying by its own unpredictable rules.

De Slagwerkgroep Crescendo Hengelo (gld) is opgericht in 1974, en is een onderdeel van de christelijke muziekvereniging Crescendo. In 1974 had de toenmalige voorzitter de wens dat er een drumband opgericht werd zodat niet altijd tijdens de straatoptredens een drumband van een andere vereniging ervoor moest lopen. Men begon met 16 leerlingen en de drumband van Crescendo was een feit. 

Na een instructeurswissel in 1980 werd de groep bekend gemaakt met lyra's. Tijdens het voorjaarsconcert in 1982 werden er 3 lyra's aangeboden, en vanaf dat moment werd de drumband omgetoverd in een tamboer-lyrakorps. Vanaf 1983 tot 2005 stond het korps 22 jaar lang onder leiding van Bert Rietman. In 1997 zorgde Bert ervoor dat er 2 xylofoons en 1 marimba bijkwamen die ook op straat gebruikt konden worden. Vanaf dat moment werd het korps officieel een malletband. 

Sinds de zomer van 2008 staat de groep onder leiding van Gilbert Wientjes die ervoor gezorgd heeft dat er een wat groter instrumentarium werd aangeschaft zoals een concertxylofoon, marimba en een vibrafoon zodat er ook mooie concertmuziek ten gehore gebracht kan worden. Ook de naam malletband werd gewijzigd in slagwerkgroep. 

Al met al heeft deze groep een levendige geschiedenis. Nu Gilbert Wientjes de groep onder zijn hoede heeft gaat de groep zich meer richten op concert- en concoursmuziek om het publiek een breder beeld van de slagwerkmuziek te laten horen.

Exotica is Julien Galner and Clara Cometti.

They met in Paris 5 years ago, their respective bands Chateau Marmont and Koko Von Napoo often shared the same bill. They quickly discover that they have a lot in common, especially regarding their musical and cinema tastes. But at the time, they are too busy to find the time needed for this project and it just doesn’t happen.

Two years later, Clara now writes music on her own and has much more time and energy to dedicate to Exotica, the timing is good, at last. They spend days and nights in the studio, writing, arranging, producing; Flairs giving a hand for the bass parts.

Their first EP Désorbitée is the result of two years of work and they have already started to work on the album.

Julien also worked on Alizée’s and Alister’s last albums, as for Clara she features on two songs of Munk’s last album.

Exotica c’est Julien Galner et Clara Cometti.
Ces derniers se rencontrent à Paris il y a 4 ans. Leurs groupes respectifs Château Marmont et Koko Von Napoo partagent souvent la même affiche.
Ils se découvrent peu à peu de nombreux points communs et décident de faire quelque chose ensemble, mais le temps leur manque et le projet tombe à l’eau. Deux ans plus tard, ils en reparlent, Clara travaille maintenant en solo, elle a plus de temps et ils décident de s’y mettre sérieusement. Ils font tout à deux. Ecriture, arrangement, production. Désorbitée et Conte d’Eté sont les premiers morceaux issus de cette collaboration. Flairs y vient leur prêter main forte à grands coups de basse slappée.
Julien a également collaboré aux derniers albums d’Alizée et d’Alister et Clara chante sur deux morceaux du dernier album de Munk.
