Welcome to a music selection that takes the listener on a journey to experience a deep, minimalistic and powerful rolling soundscape. Opening a space where downtempo sounds merge with slow tech groove, the 14 tracks are rich in sonic texture and subtlety. We’re “Over the Moon” to welcome Gadi Mitrani to Do Not Sit with his melodic two-track EP. A fixture in his hometown of Turkey and with releases on the likes of Kompakt KX, Tale & Tone, Seven Villas and his own imprint Love And Above, Gadi has built a name for himself on the world stage, and it’s easy to see why with his new one for us.

The title track’s organic mood weaves in and out of dreamy synths and deep rhythm, while “Rise To The Moon” invokes beautiful undertones of culture and fancy.

With his last EP offering on Keinemusik, &ME displayed himself once again as supplier of anthems that easily reconcile style with general floor purpose. You would think, such an universal and inexhaustible tune as this very “After Dark” can only be a lucky hit. But no, he’s knocking out the classic material just like that. Another example? Catalog number KM028, his brandnew “Trilogy” EP.
The titletrack on A initially places a synth arpeggio behind a kick that in dryness is hardly to excel. The beat of "Trilogy" is then seasoned with rimshot patterns until the saturated bassdrum comes in and paves the way to the dancefloor. &ME even refines his knack for stoic grooves on this jam and once again shows his sure feeling for suitable vocal features. Sabotas croon comes devoid of big gestures and still knows the ropes to appeal to the collective mentality of a clubcrowd.
On the flipside, “Woods” is living up to its name from the very beginning. Woody percussions are thumping within an almost subtropical scenario that’s frequently pervaded by mighty synth clouds. And once again, there’s an arpeggio sneaking in that at some point is taking the lead in this strictly instrumental affair. Add a break building that will educe a floor’s complete euphoric potential without going for the rather mindless escalation and there you have it: a B-side that’s actually more of an A-competitor.

The fourth instalment on DGTL Records is an EP by Satori, who delivers a record with three tracks that all bear his signature sound. This will be the first EP he releases after Maktub, his well-received album on Crosstown Rebels. Compared to the album, the EP is more dancefloor orientated and thus right in time for the summer festival season. 
 Satori has been part of the DGTL family for a few years already and with this release, his connection with the family will become even stronger. Satori is inspired to capture electronic world music, where he combines endless blends of seductive trance and mind-altering earthy tones. This resonates through all his music and even more so through this release. 
 
The first track on the A-side is Fauna, an organic, melody driven arrangement with mesmerizing vocals and playful synths. This combination of layers gives the track an almost hypnotizing effect. The second one is called Yam, which makes it the title track for this EP. It’s a homage to an identically named festival in Mexico, hosted by a dear friend of Satori. It’s like a soundtrack for the festival, seen through Satori his eyes, something with which he could close the party. Containing several layered atmospheric harmonies and a more present bassline, the track has a grandeur vibe that can easily be pictured as a great festival closer. 
 The B-side contains a remix of a track by the French producer Sahalé, who actually sent Satori a message online asking for the possibility of working together. He sent him the track Magharibi, which has been a humble internet sensation. Satori made a version that has been a key element in his live sets ever since. It keeps all the interesting elements of the original, but twists the bassline and the arrangement, while adding a few smaller soundscapes. Tried and tested on the road, it’s now ready for a release.

Lars Rühlemann and Sven Fröhlich are the German duo that make up Monkey Safari. For the best part of the last decade, the duo has been serving up their own take on deep melodic house that have seen releases on Spectrum, Get Physical, RCA records and their own imprint Hommage. First appearing on Anjunadeep with their remix of Yotto’s ‘Turn It Around’, Monkey Safari now return with ‘Gravity / Daka’.

Featuring vocals from German artist Delhia De France, Monkey Safari blend hypnotic melodies with driving percussive drums in ‘Gravity’ whilst ‘Daka’ leads with warm chords and fluttering arpeggios. The duo’s latest reaffirms why they’ve gained them support from Sven Väth, Joris Voorn, Pete Tong, Tensnake and Jaques Lu Cont.

French-Canadian producer and live act Christophe Dubé, aka CRi, is a star in the making, rising through Montréal’s thriving music scene in recent years, and hailed by the likes of Vice, i-D and NME.
