The interplay between light and dark is the metaphorical leitmotif du jour on Jean Claude Ades' Awake E.P., inspired by the people who “come into your life and give you joy, bringing brightness, turning the night into the day” and the universal feeling of emerging from darkness with fresh perspectives, according to the Scorpios veteran. Deep and downtempo, the lead track “Awake” is given a tropical touch on the Sabo remix feat. Conga Fist, but not before the listener is drawn into a tentative and uncertain euphoria on “New Generation”. Featuring rare vocals from Berlin-based producer Dennis Scheffel and a plethora of organic sounds and instruments from around the globe, Awake was imagined with imminent possibilities in mind and marks Jean Claude Ades’ first release on Scorpios Music

Aaroon’s illustrious production career takes another sharp turn with his second release on Scorpios Music, titled Where The Earth Meets The Sky. An intricate combination of organic sounds and synth keys unlocks the door to another dimension, taking the listener on a whistle-stop tour of the post-industrial spaces of central Europe’s club scene to temporary jungle clearings and tropical beaches via the recesses of Aaroon’s own psyche. Despite shifting tempos and tones between tracks, the E.P. as a whole blends elements of Middle Eastern psychedelia with hallmarks of house, tempting the spiritually adventurous to skyward introspection.

Ready Mix Records founder BiGz joins forces with newcomer ELO for label release number 253, 'Beautiful Africa', featuring show-stopping vocals by Farafi, and remixes by Alex Doering and Khaaron.

Linking up with BiGz for the first time, Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Ole Leesker, aka ELO turns in a stunningly deep debut, with more than a little help from talented Afro-inspired vocal duo Farafi.

The original club version of 'Beautiful Africa' builds from acapella voices into a melodic, bouncy house vibe, with tonnes of emotion.
BiGz and ELO slow the tempo for their Downtempo version but turn up the intensity with dramatic minor key stabs and cave-like atmospherics.

DJ, producer and Kung-Fu teacher Alex Doering turns in a tribal and techy version of 'Beautiful Africa', letting the vocals ride over a rock-solid rhythm section.

Closing out the package, Khaaron delivers an elegant, smooth and slightly melancholic take on 'Beautiful Africa', perfect for those reflective moments.

BiGz & ELO feat. Farafi - Beautiful Africa (Khaaron Remix) [Ready Mix]

Sabo’s record label Sol Selectas drops an enchanting Afro house EP by ARKADYAN, which also features remixes by Safar (FR) and Manoo.

ARKADYAN are a talented trio who have previously featured their tribal rhythms and ancestral instruments on other imprints ranging from Cosmic Awakenings to Madorasindahouse Records, and their music has been popular with DJs such as Black Coffee, Bedouin, Satori, Blond:ish and many others of equal note.

Safar (FR) is a French artist who recently debuted on Sol Selectas with a track on the label’s Summer Sol VII compilation with a scorching hot vibe, and this remix once again shows off his talents.

Manoo is from the city of Lyon in France and he is well-known for his productions on Innervisions, Compost and Classic Music Company. His style is a jazzy blend with deep atmosphere and groovy basslines.

“Tulila” is the solo original on the release and it features the vocals of Moroccan artist Radouan Naim who also played the guembri instrument that’s used in the track. The lyrics are sung in the Berber language and are accompanied by tense pads, vibrant percussion and dramatic chords.

Safar (FR) provides a refined remix that’s true to the original with its chopped-up vocals and flowing tribal rhythms that are both crisp and hypnotic.

Closing out the release is the remix by Manoo that adds a new bassline with extra energy while also drawing attention to the percussion to focus on the tribal rhythms of the congas and other percussion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali depicts the golden spiral of life & the harmonic dance of the universe.

Marking another deep and meaningful immersed release, we welcome Sonnero and Manuel Sanchez, who make their debut on Words Not Enough through the beautifully crafted "Tiger Winds" EP. Inspired by challenging moments recently experienced by the artists, the record expresses complex emotions through its two tracks and also reveres two of nature's main elements - air and water, and their enchanting power of transformation.  "Tiger Winds", the track that gives the EP its name, is a reference to the winds that come from the Tiger River, located in the Middle East. With intense melodies, based on the musicality of the region, the track seeks to transport the listener to the banks of this magical, light and emotional place. On the other hand, "El Secreto del Agua" reflects on the transforming and vital power of water as the basis for life on Earth.
