Marina P got her first break came when she voiced the massive "Divorce à l'italienne" with Mungo's Hi Fi, which was first released on Scotch Bonnet Records in 2007. Her soulful voice and ability to pen killer lyrics have seen her go on to release with some of the best producers in the soundsystem scene, including Jahtari, Stand High Patrol and DJ Madd.
This is her first full length album and features many new tracks along with her hits and has been put together for "Homeys records" which she started with help from all her musical homies. It showcases her amazing voice as the music flows between soul, dub, digital reggae and bass music.

One of the most requested vocals to Mungo’s HiFi’s recent Antidote Dub LP was Solo Banton’s unreleased A side to Pulsating Dub. Naturally, Mungo’s have obliged, pairing both cuts on one monster of a seven-inch that will invite heavy equal needle traffic on each side. Over a liver-quivering drum-and-bass heartbeat skank, Solo gives a Raggamuffin statement of lyrically murderous intent. The rhythm track was recorded by engineering maestro Prince Fatty at his much-missed Ironworks studio space in Brighton.

WHERE I'M FROM

Back in the day, around '81/'82, Sister Nancy (Ophlin Russell-Myers) recorded a tune on the Stalag riddim - the seminal Bam Bam. Since then I've played it to death be it in clubs and pubs, at home, or in the car on a sunny Irish country road with the top down. 
Around 15 years ago a big beat remix turned up and went straight into my DJ bag often to be played with, instead of, or cut over the original. And that's all I've done here, put a big fuck off beat over Soom T's cut. Same riddim, fresh vocal, new generation. The circles and cycles of reggae and dancehall move ever far-ward. 

Ophlin Russell-Myers, meanwhile .. she's now an accountant in a bank .... pfft.
