Coming out of central NY, Broken English sets it off with new underground conscious hip hop.   The band consists of three performers and special guest appearances from all styles of artists.   Fogg ( Jeremy Fogg) is in charge of beat production, creation, and recording.   He first started his musical career in his early teenage years as a percussionist quickly mastering any type of drum that was put in front of him, entering drum circle's, playing for belly dancers, and on to a band that's no longer in existence, formerly known as Moon Patrol into his early twenties . Moon Patrol was a jam, fusion,  and reggae outfit with all the trimmings.
Right before the time of Moon Patrol he began experimenting in electronic DJ and beat making equipment making him the all around maestro excelling in an eclectic nature of music production.   Foggs' multi style, outside of the box mind set  has led him to creating masterful bass romping experimental beats that could draw anyone's undivided attention. Mayhem AKA Adapt ( Nate Norrs)  began artistry as a self taught improv free lance guitar player during his time in high school. Along with a love for hip hop that made him into a freestyle nightmare at parties, special events, and any moment given where the opportunity arose for him to display his lyrical abilities.  Mayhems' aggressive, obnoxious, and off the top of the head free forming flows have left people in aw, with his determination to sync the crowd into his personal interpretation's of how he portrayed the world, refusing to hold back,  no matter what the cost , exploding into the atmosphere type hip hop predicate.  Now as he progresses deeper among the world of hip hop, Mayhem has been putting his thoughts and words to paper, unfolding into a whole new measure of rap intensity. The 3rd and final member of BROKEN ENGLISH, Bubinthetub AKA The OPTImisfit (Alan McCarthy JR.) started out as a def poet /song writer  from the early age of middle school.  By the time of 2002 he began word-smithing and writing raw, pun filled, enigma based hip hop vocals that struck nerves making even the heaviest of thinker's "Think."  Emceeing with conundrums that put twists on the "Gift of Gab," creating a rhyme kamasutra.  In the  process he also became a freestyle nemesis inspiring in freedom fighter wordplay with mind-blowing metaphors, and original  self-proclaimed  rhyming techniques.  Putting his rhymes to production he later joined the mystical ( in your face ) hip hop group" EFFOEL" ( Family OF Light).
"EFFOEL" had an articulate variety of underground rap artists, with a full band, and were backed by the DJ/Producer Nyke ( Weightless-Keys) .  Today Nyke readily performs as "Cubical Sunrise," melting into the keyboard while implementing restless, inspirational,  and trans-ambient ground breaking electronica sounds and styles.  He also aids to the incentive of "BROKEN ENGLISH" with recording and mastery production.   Years later "EFFOEL" tapered off as lives chose different paths for each band member.  Shortly after Bub Fogg, and Nate ventured into the decision of creating a new genre of hip hop which  now stands before you- "BROKEN ENGLISH."    With their multitude of talents, overpowering passionate musical influence, and high demand for the lime light, together they emerge.  With the love of music they hope to set a higher standard of beat and lyrical entertainment/performance while educating the masses, and having good time in the process.

A trusted troubadour for hot summer nights and cold beers, Owen is now in his forties, tangling with separations from lost lovers, raising kids, and growing out of the fresh-faced kid that headed down to Nashville 20 years back with a six-string and a dream.  Case in point: Dreams to Dream, Owen’s long-awaited, Shooter Jennings-co-produced foray into classic, honky-tonk country, out November 7 via Good Company Entertainment. Dreams to Dream, Owen’s first independent studio album, featuring 10 original tracks and two stellar covers, tells the tale of a man at a crossroads — and what it takes to set out a new path. 

Owen wasn’t expecting much when he commented on one of Shooter Jennings’ Instagram posts, half-jokingly suggesting that they make a honky-tonk record, but the producer called his bluff. Two days later, Owen’s manager had Jennings on the line and, soon, Owen was on his way to L.A. and Jennings’ Sunset Sound. It was a cozy yet electric scene: Jennings and Owen cracking jokes in the sepia-toned studio, creativity crackling as they collaborated with the likes of songwriters Ben Chapman and Kendell Marvel, as well as long-time shooter pal, guitarist/harmonic player Leroy Powell. 

“All my friends who have heard my stuff have gone, ‘Dude, Jake, this is you man. This is who you've always tried to be,’” Owen says. “Sometimes you need to get outside what's comfortable, what people think you are, or think you should be, and take a risk.”
