Han Sulu is a 5 piece Neo-Psychedelic indie rock band, hailing from San Francisco, engaged in crafting original music and playing the occasional eclectic cover. Formed in the winter of 2016 by ex-Daisy Chain members Anna Hedonic (Horrible People, Goober) and Chad Mulligan (Ragweed, Saltines, 8 Bit Idiots), they recruited Steeve Steech when they saw him playing with Gus, local hardcore heroes, at the Rickshaw Stop. Impressed with his melodic abilities, Mulligan invited Steech to an impromptu jam session, resulting in Steech abandoning Gus for Han Sulu. It was then that Steech recommended ex-Crunchberries bassist Kurt Kusch to the group, who had recently returned from Japan after a stint in the art /noise rock band Baka. Auditions were quickly held, with Kush solidifying his position as bass anchorman after impressing Mulligan and Steech with a ripping version of Captain Beefhart’s Zig-Zag Wanderer. Lineup almost complete, the search for a drummer resulted in Mulligan contacting ex-Ragweed associate Hal Shodan, who quickly joined to round out the line-up. 

Currently working on demos to prepare for their debut studio album on Psylon Records, due out at the tail end of the year, a tour of Northwest Pacific is planned in support of their freshman studio effort.
