The Republic of Gatecrasher event held in June signified 10 years since the iconic venue in Sheffield known as the Republic and spiritual home to so many of the Gatecrasher faithful, tragically burnt to the ground.

10 years on and the music still plays on! We all grew with the music from 1997-2007 and felt obliged to hold a commemorative party so as to celebrate those many joyous memories experienced at this momentous institution. Gatecrasher has always been about inclusion and was not only a tribute to all our regulars but also to those who never have had the opportunity to experience it first-hand.

In order to make this event unique, I wanted to try something different and completely out of my comfort zone! After many lengthy discussions, I made the conscious decision to go back to back with the entire main room lineup. From early doors until the final tune, everybody who attended was guaranteed a nostalgic, musical journey.

Post-Republic of Gatecrasher blues and it was really pleasing to have received so many positive and thought provoking comments with regard to how musically diverse it actually was. I wholeheartedly agree and thought it necessary to share these wonderful sets. Just listening back, you'll be really hard pushed to find such a wide range/variety of Trance to encapsulate one night!!!

Many thanks go out to Paul Pearson, Guy Ornadel, Matt Hardwick, M.I.K.E. Push, Marco V, Matt Darey and DuMonde (JamX) who all contributed to this amazing event by joining me on this 9 hour adventure. Now you can too ;).

A triumphant return to PaSSion in Coalville as part of Paul Van Dyk's "From Then On" tour and a celebration of 23 momentous years of clubbing were held.

What really impressed me about this event is that despite the ever challenging snow and icey conditions throughout the UK, this did not deter the ever faithful DFOPs from coming out in full force! PaSSion at the Emporium is my Midlands clubbing home away from home. The venue has always brought together likeminded, committed individuals together with that wonderful energy and enthusiasm for the music. 

It was really pleasing to see how the crowd responded to my set and the material which I showcased on the night. There were a select few ASOT 850 exclusives such as Charlie Walker & I's latest remix of "Oakenfold - Southern Sun", our mashup of "Sweet Release" and my collaboration with Liam Wilson of "The Killers - Mr Brightside". 

Overall, PaSSion's 23rd raised the bar to a whole new level with regard to quality Trance music and for the next hour, I'll let you judge for yourself :).

Easter brought us the return of the highly anticipated Gatecrasher Laser Unity and for some, there was no resting during that extended bank holiday weekend! Laser Unity showcased a wide assortment of trance such as progressive, uplifting, tech and psy variations synchronized to beautiful, visual extravaganza of fluorescent rays. 

I played in both rooms for around 90 minutes each. I started in the Gatecrasher REBOOTED Arena from 10:30 and despite being early, there was already quite a busy atmosphere on the dancefloor. The momentum really started to progress as each track was played. The energy levels were on full flow at that point with hands in the air action and the chanting of lyrics. Some of the biggest moments throughout this first set was dropping my latest remixes of "The Killers - Mr Brightside" and "Oakenfold - Southern Sun" which received significant attention. 

Fast forward to my 25 Year of Gatecrasher Arena set and it was full steam ahead. After a short break, I was back on the decks for another 90 minutes, showcasing some of the finest select tunage to have graced the brand. Some notable crowd pleasers included "Marino Stephano - Vision Control", "Ratty - Sunrise" and "Warrior - Warrior". 

All in all, a sensational event with two captivating sets in one link representing the authentic sound of Gatecrasher. Guaranteed to have you moving about in no time as we move closer to the Summer!
