The new Alone With Everybody project by Drum & Bass connoisseur FD firmly solidifies his earned seat in the upper echelons of the Drum & Bass scene. The epic nine-tracker on The North Quarter showcases a new dimension to his sound, having already gained the trust of many essential labels in the past. Serious work has been released over the course of years, producing a balanced catalogue of what FD stands for. This persistent output has grown in both reputation and depth and tells the story of a man dedicated to keeping close to his musical vision.

A veteran producer and DJ in the scene for more than a decade, FD has the ears of a true tastemaker; an artist and curator that understands his audience. Each piece of music has been created with his highly self-critical approach and scrutiny, bringing the best to the fore on this anticipated new body of work.

From the iconic intro with Jazz T, all the way to the closing track 'This Is Now' the EP speaks a solid sonic language with a confident yet emotion and energy-driven tone-of-voice. T.R.A.C. steps forward to take centre stage with this first single from his forthcoming album 'Life In Motion'. Having appeared on numerous D&B tracks over the past few years on labels like V Recordings, Shogun, Jazzsticks and more as a featured artist T.R.A.C. is no stranger to the studio, and his lyrical finesse shines through on this funk filled roller. Linking up with the heavenly Adrienne Richards on vocals, and US liquid legend Random Movement on production 'Step Tune' delivers on all fronts, and sets the bar high for the album to follow later this year.

About T.R.A.C.When it comes to Hip Hop, New York is home to many great MC's and artists of all genres. Anyone who has ever visited the borough of Brooklyn will have seen its wide mix of cultures, ethnicities, and renowned musicians living within some of the most historic neighbourhoods in the world. Growing up within this melting pot has inspired the MC known as T.R.A.C. - his name alone clearly states what his intent is all about... To Rule And Conquer.

Following the 360-degree drum & bass experience that is ‘Waveforms’, Logistics continues his three-part EP series, linking the sounds of past, present and future on the ‘Headspace’ EP. With seven solo albums, six EPs and several collaborative releases under his belt, Logistics is one of Hospital Records’ most prolific artists. He’s joined by the lyrical extraordinaire Inja and the vocal stylings of family mainstay Thomas Oliver.

Opening this four-track EP is ‘Stay True’, a sublime dose of rolling liquid with the workings of New Zealand’s singer/songwriter Thomas Oliver. Atmospheric pads, nimble organ work and graceful harmonies come together for an elegant dose of Logistics’ drum & bass mastery.

Following a path of deeper liquid is ‘Rebuild’ with its low rumbling frequencies and super sharp sonics, topped with layers of mysterious atmospherics. On a darker tangent is the title track, ‘Headspace’, rolling and hypnotic, it’s a testament of Logistics’ long-standing ability to carve out timeless, melodic grooves.

Switching up the vibe is ‘Brand New Beginning’ featuring the enigmatic Inja. Setting the tone with tranquil hip-hop beats, this nod to Inja’s history outside of drum & bass transitions into an upbeat number, beaming with Inja’s trademark positivity.

As one of the most renowned artists in drum & bass, Logistics’ reputation is far-reaching with regular presence across major radio airwaves with support from the likes of the BBC’s Annie Mac, Rene LaVice and Mary Anne Hobbs. He can be found at festivals and events worldwide in 2020 including a main stage set at the forthcoming London D+B takeover, Hospitality Returns To The Dock.

Scott grew up in Seattle, Washington (USA), and was a big music lover at a young age. At 10 years old, he fell in love with new wave music and the synth-driven tunes of the early 80’s. A couple of years later, he began a new passion, collecting Hip-Hop music. 

When Scott was 18 years old, he moved to the L.A. area to attend college and play water polo at Chapman University. When he moved into his dorm room he met his future deejay partner and Neosoul band partner, Tim Andren. Scott and Tim would spend hours talking about music and seeing who could supply the best, most underground Hip-Hop tune with the most addictive beats and sounds. During this period in his life, Scott was introduced to Breakbeat, Hardcore Breaks, early Jungle, and Ambient Dub Music. Scott immediately fell in love with the overall feel and freedom of the music.

At about the age of 21, Scott and his roommates bought their first set of turntables and the passion for the music grew into an intense love. About 2 weeks after he bought his turntables, he was already circulating his mix tapes and getting booked to play at clubs and parties in L.A. After a year or two of playing local shows, Scott began playing shows all over the USA and Canada, exposing these areas to the Neosoul breakbeat sound. He was fortunate enough to play alongside such heavy-hitting acts as DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Bassbin Twins, Simply Jeff, and many other big names.

When the breakbeat scene slowed down around 2001, Scott went back to his roots in electronic music and began enjoying the sounds of Jungle music, only now the music was more refined. He began to go to Drum & Bass events and would catch LTJ Bukem & Conrad, and the rest of the Good Looking crew every time they would perform in the Southern California area. He was drawn to the melodic, jazzy, and ethereal sounds of Drum & Bass music, and he especially liked it with Conrad hypnotically weaving his lyrics over the tunes. He began collecting Drum & Bass records and also started producing Drum & Bass in about 2004. It was also around this time that Scott further developed his passion for Reggae and Dub music. You can definitely hear the influence that these genres of music have had in his music.

His production became more serious when people started hearing his songs and began to show interest in wanting more of his sound. After a few years of producing and getting a number of tracks signed to major labels, Scott decided to start his own label, Soul Deep Recordings. Since Soul Deep’s inception in January 2011, the label has seen a great amount of success and has been established as one of the top Liquid/Deep/Jazzy labels in the music game. 

In addition to releasing many EP’s on Soul Deep, Scott has released music on a number of other top labels including, Fokuz, Celsius, Good Looking, Smooth N Groove, Telluric, Celsius, Soul Rebel, Jazzsticks, Phuzion, Liquid V, Atmomatix and Sheer Velocity.
