It's still a tradition in some parts of Turkey and surrounding lands that girls are given to be married at a young age (as little as 10) to become brides in exchange for land, goods and money for the arranged families. These girls are silenced to choose whom they could marry, or to even have a voice. In the case of disagreement , punished by their own families.. Still to be given away...

The night before the marriage, the women of her families gathers the bride in a circle of ritual, where she sits under a red veil and permitted & encouraged to grief and offer her tears for her transition, leaving her family behind in stepping into her womanhood...as mothers watch her silently crying .. 

Countless folk songs have been written and shared for these nights of deep grief...to acknowledge and bring some soothing to this ancient wound...this is one of those songs.

Wildlight - The Tide - Rain

Presenting an all out Asian collaboration, featuring the original recordings of '𝐒𝐚𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢' by the Nepali folk band, 𝐒𝐚𝐤𝐜𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐦; a song which we officially remixed for our Phewa Dawn compilation. The joyful piece is back for another reinterpretation by 𝐋𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐑 @lofimaker, the Chinese experimental beatmaker who's usually known from his releases with the mighty Do Hits label.

The song is taken from our forthcoming compilation, "𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧", featuring 14 remixes from the OUTTA discography by many new & OG OUTTA contributors.
