This is a collection of pieces that vary between East Coast, Berlin School to Ambient and West Coast.  I strive to make sure all my work has musical value and love experimenting with texture.

New Music

This is a Berlin School track I completed a few days ago.  It's utilizing my modular analog synthesizers and some very nice software synths:  Plasmonic and Analog Lab.  Hope you enjoy!

One Night in Berlin

This piece was created to show off my first ever DIY build of a modular component: a 4ms Rotating Clock Divider.  There are three voices and analog drums.  Fast sequence is played by a Moog M32.  The clock from that instrument is then taken to the RCD where the clock is split into musical divisions.  The sequence is accompanied by another M32 and the low bass sound is a Synthesis Technology E355.  All the supporting voices are clocked by the RCD.

Split Seq

Chronos is performed on my modular synthesizers.  Three instruments form the bulk of what you hear.  Some ambient textures were added care of the Knas Moisturizer.

Chronos

Just finished my Turing Machine Mk II build.  What a wonderful module!  Here's a session I did to test it out.  Performed on my modular synthesizer with the Turing Machine mk ii and two oscillators, and one Moog M32.

Transition I

This is my latest modular work.  It features all analog, modular synthesis except for two voices: complex melodic line and percussion.  On this piece, I am featuring the fantastic Threeler VCF by Ian Fritz.  This filter is by far the most versatile that I own and is arguably one of the very best filters in Eurorack!  You can hear the Threeler at work in the lower sequenced voice.

Rover I

In honor of the upcoming Winter Games....

This track was performed using my modular synthesizer and Moog instruments: M32 (x2), SlimPhatty.  I wanted to capture some aleatoric ideas, representing snow flake impacts at the microscopic level with more traditional melodic components.

Jump Olympia

This piece features three sequences working together with variable texture, primarily in the most present sequence.  The primary voice uses the Doepfer PLL with an Eowave Titan Oscillator supplying the wave form, modulated by the Make Noise Maths.  Filtering is done by the awesome Ian Fritz Threeler and the Doepfer WASP filter.  Additional ambient texture provided by the Mutable Instruments Clouds granular synthesis voice.

Ambient Sequence I

I was looking at some art from the 1950s and 60s - retrofuturism. I really love this stuff!  I was inspired and decided to record this short little piece.  All created on my modular using all my oscillators.  The higher sequence is done using the Turing Machine.

Station Computer Alpha

Recorded in a single take.  Not mastered.  Performed on my large modular synthesizer with sequence performed on the Doepfer Dark Time.  Featured oscillator is the Make Noise STO.

This piece is performed on my modular and the always awesome Moog Mother 32.  It contains three different sequences, one of them asymetric.  They each get a chance to shine through in the piece at different times.

It was also an excuse to try out my Loquelic Iteritas module from Noise Engineering!

This piece is something I've been working on when I have time.  It has a modular sequence and a central theme that I am using to contrast my feelings about our world today and how important my family is to me.

The modular sequence was performed on my modular synthesizer, strings from EastWest, Native Instruments FM8 and various other instruments and effects.
