Luft holen. Die Lungen weiten - Mit dem Einatmen setzt die Musik ein, mit dem Ausatmen schreitet der nächste Takt voran. Klänge und Töne liegen in der Luft. Schwere und Leichte, Pulsierende und sich Auflösende.

EXYN HALE betrachten sich als Wandelnde zwischen Synth-Rock und postträumerischer Entlastungsdröhnung. 2016 neu erfunden, lenkt das klanggewaltige Kollektiv aus Schlagzeug, Bass, Synthies und Stimmen den Schall in neue Bahnen und packte seinen markanten Sound 2018 auf die “Tides & Ties“ EP. Die vorab ausgekoppelte dritte Studioveröffentlichung “Forsaken” erschien im Frühjahr als bildstarkes Musikvideo, das große Anerkennung erntete und auf welches mit “Birds“ Ende 2018 ein weiteres Video folgte.

Eine Vielzahl an Clubkonzerten und Festival-Auftritten zeichneten in den vergangenen Jahren den Weg der Klangformation und so sind auch für 2020 bereits die Weichen für Konzerte mit neuem Sound gestellt, auf denen EXYN HALE den Puls durch den Rhythmus ersetzen und in fantastische Tonwelten entführen lassen.

The unique sound of traditional Manx music is the Celtic World’s best kept secret. This is set to change with the introduction of Barrule, an exciting new power trio hellbent on taking the Isle of Man’s music to a much wider audience. 

Named after the famous Manx summit, where legend says the ancient Celtic God Manannán MacLir stalked his mighty fortress, Barrule fuses three distinct musical forces - gifted 19 year-old fiddle-player Tomás Callister, accordion wizard Jamie Smith (of Mabon) and Adam Rhodes (Mabon and Manx band King Chiaullee) on bouzouki. Together this versatile acoustic unit create a powerful and wholly distinctive sound.

With bold but sensitive arrangements, Barrule's fresh take on traditional and contemporary Manx music evokes an atmosphere that speaks of the natural beauty of the island and the lives of its inhabitants.
