My take on a version of Carte Blanche. Started way back in 2008. I tried some unique elements in this, such as the syncopated baseline and tech trance stabs. Down the road, I think I will revisit this and rework it to sound better.

This is the set I played at United Colors Of Trance on November 19th, 2010 at ARQ nightclub, Sydney Australia. Had a lot of great comments about the set. Was a good mix of classic, current and new tunes spanning melodic, tech and uplifting. Enjoy.

Southern Sons - Untitled

Began work on one of my new singles today. So far so good. Really happy with the basslines and the atmosphere. Going to keep this track fairly underground and non-commercial - nothing too obvious massive, just a nice, constant, serious trance sound that builds tension through out. Hope you like it so far!

Scott Richardson Trancecast - Episode 027

A new production for 2024, free for all! A beautiful, lush melodic trance tune, filled with multiple layers of plucks and acids. This one is all about the myriad layers used to build the lead melody, hence the name Polyphonia, a nod to the polyphonic nature of the synths used. Hope you enjoy it! Here's a recreation of the set I played at Way Back When Day Party, May 2025 @ The Abercombie Hotel, Sydney. It's a tribute to the amazing trance music played over the years at Sublime @ HOME Nightclub in Cockle Bay by myself and the various international guests that graced the decks, including Armin, Ferry, Tiesto and more during the years 2001 - 2008. 

This mix is both a tribute to the songs heard in the club, and also very much a 'me' styled set, blending serious uplifting trance with percussive tech and darker tech trance, with just a hint of fluff here and there. You will hear plenty of music from the Gatecrasher era here too. This mix is the 'complete' set I'd planned to play on the night, however I ran short on time so had to cut a few tunes out. So enjoy the full set here.

For this set, I have painstakingly remastered most of the older classics with better sound and mix quality. The original AIFF files have been painstakingly enhanced to give them a better sonic profile, better bass, punch, clarity and consistent loudness. You will not have heard these classics the same way before! Additionally I have edited several of the tracks to enhance their energy. Finally, for this particular DJ mix, I have applied some sampling here and there, and done some neat little mash-ups. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

Way Back When - Classic Trance @ Sublime Tribute

Here's a work in progress. It's a full tune, however there's some arrangement and composition elements I'm not happy with. Would love your feedback. It's meant to have generally melodic yet dark and brooding tone to it. The breakdown is meant to feel simple and emotive, without being too forced or overly fluffy.
