What do you really want/need to know when you read one of these? Songs- Has he got the songs? Yes, he has. He has written for many years. These songs have been well and truly "road tested". There is the longing and sense of loss of "Across the River". You should perhaps note that you will end up singing/humming this song for days. There is the broad filmic expanse of "Mexico". Isn't it good when one song can transport you to a place you might never have been to? There is the ethereal quality of "Breathe". This song was debuted at a gig on October 27th 2012, Many of the audience remarked on how stunning they thought it was. (And that's just 3 of his many songs) Musicianship- He has been playing gigs for many years. Has been fronting the very wonderful Victorian dad since 2007, also does many solo gigs. His style comes from a wide range of influences (musically and geographically). He plays electric and acoustic guitar, harmonica, Piano. He plays with passion and intensity, and believes that if a musician isn't committed then they should give up. Influences- On any given night you can hear grunge, gypsy music, folk, rock, progressive, punk etc. Nothing is ever ruled out in the service of music that is designed to reach people . So, Who does David Rybka sound like ? Easy question, because he sounds like David Rybka. He has been praised by such respected musicians as Pete Jobson (i am kloot) Guy Garvey (Elbow) David signed a CD for him once...Mark Chadwick of (The Levellers) Tom Robinson (BBC6) ,Mike Joyce (Smiths), Phil Beer (show of hands), Ashley Hutchings  (Fairport Convention)And Blair Dunlop  to name a few,
Has he done a lot of gigs ?- Yes , too many to count . He has played all over England , and Headlined at the iconic Band on the Wall Club, Played in many festivals in The Uk and Abroad,  He has also done gigs at those places you have to do when you are on your way up ( but would rather forget)  . In Mexico he played at a high security prison, and for the UK Ambassador to Mexico, toured through the Jungles of Palenque and around the shanty towns of Mexico . He has also gigged extensively in Spain around the villages aof calciete and Valderrobres and beyond..  David Rybka- Songs for your soul and spirit. 

David Rybka is the performer personified. An astute songwriter, he tells a vivid tale and delivers each number as if the pain or joy is as real as the day it was written. You’ll experience heartfelt sadness, unbelievable highs and everything in between, but in an unpredictable order. David is incredible to watch and continually justifies the extremely high regard in which he is held.

These are strange times. Everything is different. One thing we know, for sure, is that Jane Weaver continues to metamorphise...

New album ‘Flock’ is the record that Jane always wanted to make, the most genuine version of Jane Weaver, complete with unpretentious Day-Glo pop sensibilities, wit, kindness, humour, glamour...

It features an untested new fusion of seemingly unrelated compounds fused into an eco-friendly hum; pop music for post-new-normal times. Created from elements that should never date,its pop music reinvented.

Still prevalent are the cosmic sounds but ‘Flock’ is a natural rebellion to the recent releases which sees her decidedly move away from conceptual roots in favour of writing pop music.

Produced on a complicated diet of bygone Lebanese torch songs, 1980's Russian Aerobics records and Australian Punk.

The musician’s exposure to an abundance of lost records served as a reminder that you still feel like an outsider in this world and that by overcoming fears you can achieve artistic freedom.

It’s a consciously positive vision for negative times, as is the title track, a brooding andethereal song that stop/starts, like a cool jazz breakdown playing at the end of the world café. It underlines the discordant pop vibe that permeates ‘Flock’ and concludes on ‘Solarised’, a super-catchy, totally infectious apocalypse, a radio-friendly groove for last dance lovers clinging together in an effort to save themselves before the end of the night.

23 February 2018 sees the release of "45 Revolutions Per Minute", a special retrospective by Liverpool band Candy Opera. Lovingly unearthed and compiled for release on 16-track vinyl and 18-track CD by Firestation Records, the album is set to relaunch a great lost gem of the seminal '80s scene for the delight of collectors and new fans alike.
