Part psych, part world, part tribal. The aptly named duo Mushrooms Project have an ease in which they blend a range of unique elements into cohesive and heady pieces of sonic art. Mondo Janga is an EP that avoids formula entirely, and can be club or home centrepieces.  In our ears, their signature sound blends playful percussion, and a strong contingent of sample and synth exploration. That sound is showcased perfectly in these 3 tracks. 
Carefully selected artists were enlisted to re-interpret the original visions. With 3 remixes of the title track Multi Culti’s Thomas Von Party took Janga to the late hours, with his deep and driving remix.  While Twerking Class Heroes put their broken beat bliss stamp on the same and finally a tasteful and elegant organic interpretation by Italy’s rising Migra. Finally, Da Iguana slinks his way to another quirky and exciting remix of Mondo that will have you jumpin’

On their last trip, one year ago, they were delighted/hooked by the harmonics, vibe and live elements from world music and to put it simply, they've decided to incorporate those elements in their music to tell the stories that they've experienced during several adventures; sometimes with, sometimes without extra fantasy.
As long as you enter into this 48th edition you may realize a 73-minute mix that has something new and interesting to say with every track, in a nutshell: music in all its forms. It celebrates a stance which inspires other people to not look at the differences in cultures but to the things we have in common. What a morning it was! After a full-on day of raving (excuse my partly sloppy mixing :-) ) to amazing music from other artists i had the honour to play during sunrise at the Bachstelzen aka Panne Eichel stage at Fusion Festival. The vibe was incredible, there was sooooo much happy faces around me. It totally blew my mind. 
I feel gratefull to be part of this amazing festival, a living utopia and example for peaceful co-existence of so many different people with different backgrounds. Keep it up!!!
