Imagine exiting your bunker several years after disaster struck. You enter a ravaged land, full of insects and hatcheries everywhere. The world is lost, civilization is no more. Humanity as you know it is no more.

Descent Of Kaalut

Recently promoted, Agent Ramsey sat in the passenger seat of the 1989 Crown Vic ghost car that was heading to the site of a crime.

“See the neighbours noticed a smell a few days back, so they called in the town thinking it was the sewer. A few days later the guy's friend comes by looking for him, see he didn't show for a round of golf they had planned. This guys been sitting in that greenhouse at least 4 day- in this heat- what a way to start the day!” Agent Arbuckle complained, as he took a bite of a gas station Taquito.

Ramsey’s mind turned to the smell of the last few sips of grape soda, mixed with spit and bacteria, that had been sloshing around under the seat for the last few weeks. He and his partner had become desensitized to the sour smell, but all this talk of a rotting body brought out the dirty cars sick detail’s.

“And where are all these damn fly’s coming from? It's been driving me nuts!” Agent Arbuckle paused then looked over at his new partner. “Sorry pal, it’s just been one of those morning’s.” 

“Hey, I understand, you and me are having the same morning.” The truth is Agent Ramsey wasn’t fully listening to his partner, he was anxious and focused on not letting it show. He took a bullet when he almost stopped a jewelry store heist alone. One robber got away with half the good’s. He got the other guy though; a good kid who fell in with the wrong crowd.

They arrived at the scene and stepped into the greenhouse to see the rotting bloated pile that was once Mr. Henry. Flies rose off the body and swarmed the agents as they flew out the door, bumping into their faces and eyes; as agent Ramsey open his mouth to protest, one flew right in and down his throat. For a week he would have a sore throat that he blamed on that fly. 

“This place is a spiders paradise!” Exclaimed  Arbuckle.

As the swarm of fly’s dissipated, the details of the maggot laden ground were revealed.

“Is he holding a golf club? And, what’s on it, is that spiderweb’s?” The agents didn’t notice that above them watching was an enormous spider; the murderer of Mr. Henry!

I thought the theme for the Music Weeklies was 'Spiders' (it's not...!). So I wrote a little finger independence study to make your fingers move around the fretboard like spiders legs.
