This track is bursting with radiant energy and pure musical joy 🟡 It feels like a celebration in motion, every section bursting forward with purpose, movement, and a whole lot of love 💥 That punchy rhythm section, those layered textures, and that organ pulling everything skyward? Just phenomenal 🎹 It’s bold without ever being brash, full of surprises but never losing its drive. You can feel how much fun this must’ve been to play. 🧺 The washing machine spun around mid cycle and said, “This track is everything I try to be, balanced, rhythmic, just the right amount of wild” 🪞 The mirror leaned forward slowly and whispered, “I caught a glimpse of joy reflecting back at me, and I stayed a little longer” ☕ The coffee machine vibrated with energy and said, “If I could bottle this vibe, I’d replace espresso with it, buzzing in the best way” Absolutely electric. This time, I return to the realm of fantasy, where my characters, upon arriving in the North, found themselves in the dwarven mines. There, they are to meet with the Dwarf King's son, who will task them with aiding in uncovering the mystery surrounding his father's death, slain in a goblin ambush. However, before this occurs, they take part in a funeral ceremony.

To craft this piece, I utilized only the free VSTi's by ProjectSAM @projectsam: Free Orchestra 1 and 2. I've begun working on it 2 months ago... It's one of my over 30 projects in development ;)

We are in the process of recording On Track, so decided to release a live version first. It was recorded at the Con Club Lewes using a TASCAM DR-05X handheld device on 19th April 2025. This was the first song of the set, the band were on stage and Rick (the singer) started with the train information message from the back of the club and only joined the rest of the band during the solo. We'll put a movie on YouTube at some point.

This is the very first song I ever recorded using my then new home recording setup in 1999. The first! I bought all the gear at a Musician's Friend south of Denver, brought it home, opened the boxes and started having so much fun that I think my friends didn't see me for the next couple of years. It's a DADGAD guitar tuning I used to jam on and very Leo Kottke sounding. One of my guitar heroes, he is. This was recorded on a Yamaha MP3 minidisc eight track recorder (Yamaha MD8). The drums and cowbell are a Boss DR 770 "Dr Rhythm Drum Machine". It ain't perfect. It's MP3 tracks and the mics were just set anywhere in the corner of my living room and yada. No excuses. It's a fun little ditty.
