« Gears in motion » marque le point de départ de l’expérience Scratchattic. Une expérience qui vous plonge au cœur d’un « tr(h)ip-hop » instrumental riche et varié, chahuté par des scratchs et une panoplie d’effets.  
Comme si leur machine permettait de voyager à travers divers univers musicaux, cet EP confronte les auditeurs à de multiples influences : un concentré de hip-hop nourri de jazz (Delight et Lightness), de reggae (Dub process) et de world musique (Secret temple)… laissant la part belle à la rencontre des styles et à de nombreuses collaborations avec plusieurs musiciens.  
Dans ce premier projet, le duo lillois Scratchattic nous livre 7 titres originaux où s’entremêlent sonorités électroniques et acoustiques, beatmaking et scratch, avec la précision d’une montre à quartz.

Dub Riots were formed in 2008 in Athens,Greece. They have been featured on a few compilations on Dubophonic (Explorations in Dub 2013, Legal Rmx 2016 and Reggae Sunjam Vol.I 2017 and Vol II 2018) and also on the Greek label Reggaewise with their first EP State Of Life in 2013. Having performed live as a dub duo all over Greece, but also in Cyprus, Belgium and Switzerland, it was about time to release their second EP and their first one on the label, doing their own dub-manipulations of some of the greatest reggae anthems. 

On this release they meet Indamouse aka 3voice, another member of the Reggaewise crew based as well in Athens; a selector and producer influenced by the Jamaican soundsystem culture and the UK stepper style. 

Alongside the mystical sound of Bluez on the melodica, they offer a fresh conception of well established tunes like Creation, Rat A Cut Bottle and Silence is Gold, tribute to the foundation artists of reggae music.

Here comes something from the Lion’s Den ‘archives’.
It was 2013 at a recording session in the Lion's Den studio, when Kali Green voiced "Serpent Behind A Curtain" - some reality lyrics about the bad dealings surrounding us - a warning to better 'Watch What Dem Do'.
A little later the project was taken to Aldubb's Planet Earth Studio to add some sweet horn melodies with Mathieu (trumpet) and Claudio (sax), two great players of instruments from Berlin, Germany.
The project was then sent to Leicester, UK, for some special remix treatment from the dub veteran Vibronics.
Here are four tuff dub cuts and an instrumental version out of his studio to be played on a heavyweight Sound System...
