My music pieces are all piano improvisations expressing emotions. It is music telling stories without the words. In my earIy years I sang and played piano in piano bars or fronted bands of different styles, from country to heavy metal and to 40. I've been composing, teaching and performing most of my life.  I'm getting old(er) now 😔 but the great thing about creating music is it gets better the longer you play, and you have more to write about! 

This is what I leave of me to my generations to come who wonder where their desire to make music comes from. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother were both accomplished pianists when they were young. My son is also exceptional.  My great grandmother and gr grandfather sang and danced in minstrel shows (vaudeville) in the early 1900's. Kids today have no idea what life was like before moving pictures.  I now have great-grandchildren. They will know who I am through my music. When I am gone my music will still be here. What a wonderful thought! 

My Dirty Side of MaxD666 is named "Dirty Max" I put the F U into FUN and Puns in Punk Rock. Gothic Beats and Hip Hop infused Rock music. It's all black music anyways. Punk Rock like Bad Brains, Folk Rock and Jazz in the 20's-40's was the OG punk rock. I'm thirsty, for goth ladies. of all sorts. I do like them Goth Ladies and Punk Rock girls to be 1. SMART 2. Funny 3. Good Personality and 4. Prob good lookin sexy as heck. 5. I'm the Cook in the Kitchen and I make decent Grilled Cheese, Chicken and Salads a lot. Or a good Egg for Breakfast spread with toast and Pumpkin sauce on toast/eng muffins. 


I'm inspired by smart people, Punk by All sorts. But hip hop and edm, rock n roll and Gothic rock all get my production Brain going. Sometimes even those scary Metal and Death core bands are fun. 

I liek a lot of dark stuff but I feel like it needs SEXXY stuff to be in there, or some kinda sense of humor. You Gotta have swing in your drummer and soul in your singer and the guitarists are dum dum and strum and the other one needs to be a smarty pants technical guy. Keyboards are there to party and lift the chorus up. That's what I think , even it's "Goth Funk" or Vampire Blues Rock or even Shock Rock with a sexy twist. Enjoy my thoughts and my tunes yo. Scratch Kelly constructs a synthesis of dark ambient, industrial and wave music. She creates a diverse sonic landscape, from brutal and unforgiving industrial sounds to dreamy dark wave territory marked by melodic synth bass so deep you could drown in it. Her music is designed to bring a sense of realisation, contemplation and healing to the darker places of the psyche.
First surfacing in 2018 with as part of the Hobart based duo Soundtractor, and moving onto solo music production in 2022 with a series of self-released EP's and albums. Her work is heavily influenced by darkwave and industrial electro, but her  inclusion of complex, often experimental rhythms and emotive melodies sets her apart from the rest of the dark electronic scene. She has received her greatest exposure so far on radio and at the Unconformity Festival.
