We place our trust in a corrupt society / government / people / technology
(Thus becoming the guinea pigs of behavioural engineering / manipulation)
We are gaslit
Being lied to is normal
We are programmed to believe that we are weak / not enough
We are taught to seek outside ourselves
We are whittled away / divided / disengaged / enslaved
We choose to give our power away due to fear

From my experience, some people dwell in a state of inner poverty. They are poor in character, in spirit, and in mind. 
These people are inherently cruel.
They cannot reciprocate love.
They are lacking in empathy.
They are the takers.

For those of use who are not like this, it is important to recognise these types of people and to protect ourselves from them.
Don't be fooled by their charms.
The red flags are always there to see, if you have the courage to look.
We will always be their source of parasitic satisfaction until we can see it.

Scratch Kelly constructs a synthesis of dark ambient, industrial and wave music. She creates a diverse sonic landscape, from brutal and unforgiving industrial sounds to dreamy dark wave territory marked by melodic synth bass so deep you could drown in it. Her music is designed to bring a sense of realisation, contemplation and healing to the darker places of the psyche.
First surfacing in 2018 with as part of the Hobart based duo Soundtractor, and moving onto solo music production in 2022 with a series of self-released EP's and albums. Her work is heavily influenced by darkwave and industrial electro, but her  inclusion of complex, often experimental rhythms and emotive melodies sets her apart from the rest of the dark electronic scene. She has received her greatest exposure so far on radio and at the Unconformity Festival in 2025.
