This darkwave track is inspired by a form of ego death that occurs through enduring prolonged solitude. This isolation may be chosen or thrown upon a person.. either way, there comes a moment of clarity that shines through the silence... and once this clarity is known, there is no turning back.

Total DIY here : I'm no real musician since I can't play any instrument except twiddling a DAW and music theory is like an unknown territory to me (I did try tough!).

Darkwave + Dark Ambient + Wave + Experimental + Industrial

Scratch Kelly constructs a synthesis of dark ambient, industrial and wave music. She creates a diverse sonic landscape, from brutal and unforgiving industrial sounds to dreamy dark wave territory marked by melodic synth bass so deep you could drown in it. Her music is designed to bring a sense of realisation, contemplation and healing to the darker places of the psyche.
First surfacing in 2018 with as part of the Hobart based duo Soundtractor, and moving onto solo music production in 2022 with a series of self-released EP's and albums. Her work is heavily influenced by darkwave and industrial electro, but her  inclusion of complex, often experimental rhythms and emotive melodies sets her apart from the rest of the dark electronic scene. She has received her greatest exposure so far on radio and at the Unconformity Festival.
