Lashawn Selwood (Scrouge) was born on June 4, 1991 in St. Thomas US Virgin Islands.  Introduced to music as a teenager by his family members, he instantly developed a love for it. Later, as music became his passion he began performing with local bands displaying signs that he would be a force to be reckoned with. He later attended the Full Sail University where he obtained a B.A in entertainment business. Upon completing college, he returned home to begin to plot his course towards becoming the most respected and loved Soca artist coming from the US Virgin Islands. Being the most sought artist he began opening for many popular acts such a Machel Montano, Swappi, Patrice Roberts, Iwer George and Alison Hinds to name a few.  His energetic and charismatic performances on stage have captivated the hearts, minds and souls of many fans & followers throughout the Caribbean and the world. Now pursuing his musical career for 4 years Scrouge has made a major impact in the International Soca Scene.   
In April of 2012, Scrouge was signed to iRVIMG (iRep VI Music Group), a record label based in the US Virgin Islands. One month later his first Single entitled "Not Afraid" was released. It was then his career as a Premier Soca artist began to take on another life of its own propelling him forward and upward into major success. Performing on major events stretching from the US Virgin Islands, Boston, Virginia to Miami, Scrouge has shared the Stage with the Best of them and managed to leave a lasting impression on those who witnessed him. Following his 2012 United States tour his new hit single BB (Bottle & Ah Bumpa) was release creating a Frenzy and desire for him throughout world.
