NØT THAT is Roger Lima and Suren, a nomadic, hybrid duo with elements of live production, instruments, & DJing, who create their own idiosyncratic spells of melodies and rhythms. Their eclectic sonic vision pulls from diverse influences from Brazilian, Soviet, and Armenian heritage, Western upbringing, and world travels. Their diverse musical background, playfulness, and ever-evolving taste captures the sensibility of imagination and constantly explores the connection between ourselves and the future.
 
Roger Lima is the founder of White Noise Lab, a Music Composition and Sound Design studio working with Agencies, Production Companies, and Brands on projects for films, broadcast, interactive websites, corporate videos, video games, and experimental projects. As a composer and sound designer, Roger has worked with an array of companies and brands like Under Armour, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Ubisoft, Adidas, Samsung, ABC, MTV USA, Food Network, and many more. Roger’s has been featured in famous media outlets like Adweek, STASH, Motionographer, Core77, MTV Brazil, Wired Magazine, The Awesomer, and many more.
 
Roger has composed the music and sound design for Love In Conflict, a documentary series by CNN Worldwide. The project has won a 2018 Honoree Award at The Webby Awards and was nominated for an Emmy Award the same year. Roger has also worked closely with CNN Digital on the creation of the titles of the documentary “Being 13”, hosted by Anderson Cooper, a project which has won an Emmy that year.
 
Suren is a serial entrepreneur who is passionate about helping teams and organizations scale and serve their markets by applying his experience in driving operational excellence and innovation at the right time and the right opportunity. He oversaw the development and exit of numerous B2B software platforms in healthcare, professional services, and insurance space. He is passionate about music, culture, astronomy and fueling companies tech, agriculture, and real estate development by advising and investing.
 
Suren found and ran Traffic Events from 2000-2009 spearheading the electronic dance movement in Los Angeles. Booking and producing events at Circus Disco, Roosevelt Hotel, Standard Hotel Rooftop, King King, and many more staple venues in Los Angeles. Bringing many of the top DJs from around the world for the first time to the LA market, the likes of, Sasha & Digweed, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Lee Burridge, Deep Dish, Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Daft Punk and many more. Suren continued to do events around the world from Miami to Moscow.
 
Roger and Suren met in Joshua Tree, CA at a private party, organized by Burning Man Russia, while Suren was DJing Roger asked if he could plugin his synthesizer and enhance the tracks live. This meeting was not a coincidence as it developed into a friendship and both of their imaginations were sparked. They continued to discuss this collaboration and debuted Not That duo for the first time at Burning Man 2019 playing at Burners without Borders, Camp Icarus, T-Car, Maxa Art Car, and PlayAlchemist. Currently, they are producing and remixing tracks, playing decompression parties and preparing for a tour across Asia and Russia in November.

Maik Stachel born on 17.08.1974 in Marl
recognized very early on his passion for music, and began at the age of 12 years, his first records
to buy in record stores nearby. Until that time, more of the gain halbers, 1988 he made the first
DJ attempts at school events. From then on he was addicted to hang up and played on and off here and there
private events as well as in some clubs in the area .1993 by the end of 1994, he put in a regular club
under the name of Mission One on Thursday opened its doors. end 94 he starred with Steve Mason, OliverBondzio,
Phropet, Yves DeRuyter at a big event. From then on, Maik put under his former name (MST) frequently in surrounding
Clubs such as Frog, Cardoza, BattHouse, model, etc ... other djs like DJ Dag, Sven Pulsar, Hooligan, Marc Vision, Alex B, Melanie de Tria, Chris Source etc. ....... on.
From the end of 1995 he worked part-time in a local record store here,
were also pointed out several compilations and samplers MixSampler brand like Housemarke, Trance Experience, Acid Flash 10 etc. ..
He regularly published until early 1999 .1997 he changed the way his DJ name and stores today under the name Maik Sting
or even under Maik Stachel on.

Maik Stachel geboren am 17.08.1974 in Marl 
erkannte schon sehr früh seine Leidenschaft zur Musik,und fing schon im Alter von 12 Jahren seine ersten Platten 
in umliegenden Plattenläden zu kaufen.Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt mehr des sammeln halbers,machte er 1988 die ersten  
DJ Versuche auf Schulveranstaltungen .Von da an war er dem auflegen verfallen und spielte ab und an hier und dort auf
privaten Veranstaltungen wie auch in manchen Discotheken im Umfeld .1993 bis Ende 1994 legte er regelmäßig in einem Club 
unter den Namen Mission One der Donnerstags seine Pforten öffnete auf.Ende 94 spielte er neben Steve Mason,OliverBondzio,
Phropet ,Yves DeRuyter bei einer Großveranstaltung.Von da an ,legte Maik unter seinem damaligen Namen(MST )des öfteren in umliegenden
Clubs wie Frog,Cardoza ,BattHouse ,Modell etc.... mit anderen DJ Größen wie DJ Dag ,Sven Pulsar ,Hooligan, Marc Vision ,Alex B,Melanie de Tria etc........  auf.
Ab Ende 1995 arbeitete er nebenbei in einem hier ansässigen Plattenladen .
Zudem kamen darauf hin mehrere SamplerCompilations und MixSampler  wie Housemarke,Trance Experience,Acid Flash 10 etc...
Die er bis Anfang 1999 regelmäßig veröffentlichte .1997 änderte er nebenbei seinen DJ Namen und legt bis heute unter dem Namen Maik Sting
oder auch unter Maik Stachel auf.
Von hier an spielte er für einen Freund auf diversen Veranstaltungen wurde dann Resident 
im HighNoon und musste krankheitsbedingt 2001 alles ruhen lassen .Da 2002 eine schwere Op anstand .Von da an verfolgte er 
knapp 7 Jahre das Geschehen von außerhalb,und kam durch eine Wette Ende 2009 (KlassentreffenXY) wieder zum auflegen zurück.
Bis jetzt legt Maik auf Veranstaltungen  wie HighNoon Zeitsprung etc....zuletzt bei der Supernova auf .
Stilistisch ist Maik unter Techhouse ,Deephouse und progressive Klängen einzuordnen.Meistens mit einer Prise Klassikern die er beim auflegen 
immer wieder mit verarbeitet. 
Desweiteren arbeitet er an seine eigenen VÖ. "Angel" die er damals nicht fertig stelllen konnte .
