Unity Of The Soul

Probably my favorite song on this album.
The "main loop" is from a rehearsal recording of my math-rock type band, Ultra Death Men, sped up and cut up.
The song is about a lot of things, as always, but was most heavily inspired by my first trip to San Diego. It was a pretty strange, negative, and intense part of my life, but the experiences I had there had profound effects on my outlook.
The first line of the lyrics references one night Bradlea and I were driving through the desert and the entire dusk sky was literally a full rainbow.
The reiteration of that part of the song the second time is about how I'd wake up every morning to a collection of four cats sleeping on me and they'd all scramble away from me when they realized I was awake, as if to hide the fact that they'd been sleeping on me.

pink satan: "One drunken night I wrote what I didn't know would be a very important song for me. I made it in an awkward situation and on a Post-Punk base produced by CLIOENLLLAMAS. A year later, my dear friend Eli gave me the idea to make a club mix for it…. this is the result. „chica soviética“ is about the feeling of falling in love with a cold person. About how many times you don't know how to approach. About how to let go of the possibility of a reunion, even though that person will always be present inside you.

The videoclip gives another message that the song does not. And the fact is that in spite of how cold it can be to fall in love with someone unrequited, the warmth of friends will always be present.
