I loved this track off the latest Dead Can Dance album so I thought I'd give it a little re rub. I tried to keep as much of the original in place adding some sexy beats and a touch of 808 Bass to hold it all together. Duffrey out of Oakland is one of those oddballs. Messing with time signatures, tempos, and most of all, your inner ear, his remix of "Cursive on the Phone" is a downtempo gurgler with bleeps, bloops, and drips that will have you looking around your apartment. Chill beat stylings mix with sexy vocal coos. It's a tour de force of subtle dance music that gets lost in today's bang-your-head culture. But we were lucky enough to find it. And so were you. The Sleep Helmet Remixes drop November 19th on Street Ritual.
