Hi, figured I should start describing my tracks actually. Building on the sound I had in my last song, CRACK!, Cursed Beyond the Grave goes in a more blackened death metal style, reminiscent of bands like Sacramentum, Dissection and Windir. Lyrics deal with Buddhist philosophy and mental health steeped in black metal imagery. I tried to make greater use of harsh vocals and do a better job with the mixing and mastering. 

Cursed Beyond the Grave is also the lead single of my debut EP: Realm of Mara, which is currently in concept stage. I wish I could give some sort of concrete release date. I think it may take me a couple of months. I'll be putting it up on Bandcamp as pay as you feel. 

I do everything myself, from song concept right through to production. Me, my trusty Tanglewood and my faithful copy of Ableton. Follow for more blackened cloud rap. Die Frage kam auf: Was ist denn anders?

Höhen und Schrillheit des Synth (Subharmonicon) etwas gedämpft und in der Dominanz zurück genommen

Bass der Rhythmuseinheit (Mother-32 und DFAM) angehoben, mehr Wumms und Groove!

Reverb (Hall) und ein wenig Delay (Echo) bringen die Hand Pan mehr in ihrem Sound zu Geltung.

Anmerkung: Das Ganze wurde mit einem Stereo-Mic (Camcorder von Zoom) aufgenommen, aufgrund der Nähe zu Soundquelle aber ohne wesentlichen Stereo Effekt. Beim Mixing wurden zwei identische Spuren angelegt und im Stereospektrum verteilt und durch automatische Pan-Verschiebungen animiert (alles via Ableton).

This song was written as part of a Mapco song contest, but I really liked the song and decided to go ahead and make it a release. This is not quite a finished version. I plan to get my wife, Ashley, to sing the final chorus and I will add her in there.

On the day of the recording, June 25 2023, it was one year since the terrorist attack against Oslo Pride and the right to be who you are. The wonderful band Chumbawamba made a song about homophobia that I have long felt to record myself. I don't know if I'm giving the band or the cause the right credit and attention, but this is genuine. Freedom, equality and tolerance - from here to eternity.
