Laura Knight's portrait of Ruby Loftus became picture of the year in 1943. Many came to admire it at London's Royal academy , It was a statement about the work that women undertook in the Second World War taking over many jobs that had previously been the sole property of men! The Picture shows Ruby Lofus on the Left and Artist Laura Knight on the right.

Rex Stratton from Clinton Iowa USA....He is a friend on Facebook and once wrote a vivid description of life by the Mississippi River and how when the Snow floats from Minnesota come downriver they  transform the polluted waters in a magic way! 
We wrote the song based on his words!
