c'è in giro da tempo una specie di 'nuova musica assoluta', astratta, che sta fra la cosiddetta 'ambient music' e la 'drone music', nei pressi dei cosiddetti 'soundscape' o, meglio ancora, degli 'innerscape' .. a volte ha tratti più 'cameristici', o addirittura per strumento solista, a volte è più 'sinfonica' .. a volte usa solo sonorità 'sintetiche', a volte invece anche strumenti 'tradizionali' .. ha antecedenti illustri, sia nella cosiddetta musica 'classica', diciamo storica, sia nella 'popular music' e nel jazz .. a quella soprattutto io guardo

Just an edit of Z Twig (if you can even call it that which changes the song from an out of place "jingle" to something a little more fitting on SAW volume 2. Don't get me wrong - Z Twig is one of my favourite Aphex Twin songs, I just don't feel it belongs on this album.

Melodies coming from guitar improvisations, heard in dreams, misheard in reality, all of which continued to invade my thoughts, a driving force for inspiration to record during my time living in Paris. These songs did indeed haunt me most thickly.
