Deadweights is the new single by Brighton's Seadog to be released as a limited edition 7" lathe cut vinyl on Austerity Records. Produced by Jack Wolter, the track features the vocal harmonies of Jack and Lily Wolter, both from the band Penelope Isles, while Jack also drums on the track. Deadweights is taken from Seadog's forthcoming album, Internal Noise, recorded at Bella Union's Brighton studio and due to be released this autumn on Austerity Records.

The song's theme encapsulates a sense of relentless heaviness that the burden of insomnia can inflict on a mind that refuses to shut down. Having suffered from insomnia for many years, vocalist Mark wanted to express the type of feeling the body can experience when you're emotionally and physically exhausted from sleep deprivation, and it can feel like you're stuck in a rut that's hard to climb out of.

Bogdan-N. Blajevschi, aka "Sometimes…" has a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering. His bachelor's thesis researches: sound, sound synthesis and the architecture of modular synthesizers.
During his studies in Berlin he also discovered the beauty of pentatonic scales.
With Polish roots but born and raised between the Black Sea and Dracula's Castle, Bogdan "travels" around the world in search of new sounds and new motifs for his audio and photographic experiments.

Seadog is the Brighton-based dream-pop project led by musicians Mark Benton and Tom Chadd. Blending lush melodies with anthemic electric and acoustic textures, Seadog crafts songs that drift between lullaby and anthem, weaving influences into a rich tapestry of sonic storytelling. Following their debut album Cabin Fever Blues —produced in part with legendary engineer Phill Brown (Talk Talk, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones) Seadog returned with their second album, Internal Noise.
