Continuing in the fine tradition of stomping grooves, I am extra excited to unveil the second instalment of the AGILITY Various Artists Compilation series. Fabian Argomedo kicks things off with classy shuffling and gigantic subs, later allowing a disjointed soulful vocal to spice things up. Rafa Barrios&#8217; picks up from there with some intense rollage and smooth bass, and &#8220;Yacid&#8221; from Ramiro Lopez holds things down with a mighty rhythm section and busy snare edits. 
&nbsp; Things take a completely different turn with &#8220;Trauma&#8221;, where a rubber-band bass permeates the thick atmospherics and intricately programmed elements.&nbsp; Sean Collier adds some welcomed bleakness to the package which leads to Juan Ddd&#8217;s cheekily titled &#8220;Dead In My Garden&#8221;, bringing the dizzyness from the ever-fluctuating bassline.

Uto Karem teams up with usual Agile suspect Ramiro Lopez for a sleek, nocturnal ride full of twists and turns. 
 &#8220;Breaking&#8221; gallops along with an infectious bassline and the now-trademarked snare action we&#8217;ve come to expect. Pitched-down vocals command respect and reverence as they lead the breakdown to a mayhemic climax. 
 On &#8220;Boundaries&#8221;, the crackling rhythm section paves the way for a constantly evolving stab that runs throughout the whole track, over rumbling subs and bubbling low-end percussion which emanates pure class.

It&#8217;s time for our sixth Agility V/A compilation, and once again, label boss Uto Karem has rounded up seven earth-shattering offerings which represent our sound at the moment.&nbsp; Dema kicks things off with the cavernous &#8220;Chilling&#8221;, after which Many Reasons loop things out with &#8220;Out Of Control&#8221;.&nbsp; If you&#8217;re looking for some bass-heavy action, D-Deck has got you covered and Tony Dee will bring out the subs in style.&nbsp; David Dega and Nino Bua team up for the aptly-titled &#8220;Come Play&#8221;, Yado Atiz brings out the quirky riffs, and Unique (CRO) closes up with a mangled vocals and a rubber-band bassline.

Ramon Tapia is an artist who goes about doing what he loves in a very unassuming way. With career that stretches back to the early 00′s, Tapia is  an experienced servant of the global scene and a highly important cog in the local Dutch and Belgium scenes. Whether you are after a rolling techno set or an ice-breaker house set, Ramon Tapia is your man. The Dutchman’s booking schedule is prove of how popular he his with performances in the past week alone including countries like Egypt, Dubai, Beirut and Switzerland. One look at his discography reveals a producer who is very busy, and with over 130 remixes to his name, a producer who is very much in-demand. He has released a diverse selection of tracks on an equally diverse selection of labels stretching from Bedrock to Suara to house mainstay Strictly Rhythm and more. (In 2010 he also mixed a compilation for the New York-based Strictly Rhythm). Of late, his Say What? imprint has been a dependable vehicle for his own productions, his latest being a collaboration EP with Rik Watts.

Balance Selections 42 is filled with main room igniters from artists like Steve Lawler, Jesse Perez, Sean Collier and Daniel Steinberg. Also included are two unreleased tracks from the man himself scheduled to drop later this year, plus music from new artists to look out for: ‘One artist who you should watch out for is Gallya, she really makes cool dark stuff and is featuring a lot in my record collection right now.’ No doubt you will enjoy this one…

It’s no secret that the work of Toronto-based Sean Collier is making a dent on the international music scene. His journey in music began in 2004 when he had the opportunity to DJ at what was Toronto’s haven for dance music lovers – The Guvernment Nightclub. After experiencing the wonder of moving a dance floor, Sean became intrigued by the intricacies and dynamics of high quality techno music, and spent the next few years mastering the art of music production. His first big EP titled Gray Matter was released on Intacto and sent waves through the technosphere catching the attention of heavy hitters Paco Osuna, Joris Voorn, Monika Kruse, Kaiserdisco and more.
Sean has since released chart-topping tracks on international music labels like 100% Pure, Tronic,  Bitten, Transmit Recordings, and more. There’s no question that the output of Sean Collier’s work is a reflection of his vast technical knowledge, his laser focus on producing high quality music, and his self-admitted tendency toward perfectionism. 
Upon listening to his recent releases like Red Mosquito, which charted #14 in the Techno Top 100, or Bar None which came in at #18 and you’ll get a sense of Sean’s signature sound: dark with monstrous grooves, explosive percussion and deep, driving basslines. Sean’s music is regularly supported by international artists like Paco Osuna, Adam Beyer, Carlo Lio, DJ Boris, Kaiserdisco, 2000 And One, and Sam Paganini, just to name a few. His music makes regular appearances in DJ sets and radio shows, including Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. As 2016 progresses, Sean’s focus is on one thing - produce fine-tuned, intelligent dance music that moves the world.
