Live at AX Dance 2022

A fun show in Seattle at Monkey Loft my first visit to the USA post Covid and one of my best personal performances of the summer, i took a lot of chances in this set... some went well and some didn't, but that is what happens when you "go for the brass ring"!

Who else sounds like Larry Heard? In the late 1980s, The Chicago house producer was one of the first artists – initially as a part of Fingers, Inc., and then as a solo act – to truly stamp their own unique aesthetic onto the nascent style of electronic dance music. Favouring lush instrumentation, foggy chords and dreamy melodies over the more mechanic pounding of many of his counterparts, he inspired the "deeper" sounds of the midwest's second wave, and generations of young clubbers elsewhere around the world.

Vernon Douglas DJ mix for the "Love is Love" 2023 Gala

We start our Journey with a simple and effective Cosmic ride coming out out of the SF/NoCal area by Mural. This EP has 3 cosmic groover’s; Shake It Up, Shake and Dub and the spectacular Love Will Find A Way on the flip. Mural has been a staple part of SF's scene as a DJ since the early 2000’s under another name and is an extremely well known graphic artist (FRISK). He has a wonderful brain for creating effective grooves with a heap cool of gear and is soon relocating his studio to Thailand for 2024.
