We are delighted to reveal our Exclusive Series mix for September 2022, and as is customary, we have yet another world class act on show today. 

Continuing with the theme of an extended set, this months artist has used this framework to deliver a mix filled with all his OWN productions. Included in the mix you will find unreleased tracks, remixes and rarities, all blended together with a skill and style unique to him. We are truly honoured to announce, the one and only Micah! 

Micah Paul Lukasewich is a Canadian electronic music composer/producer with his feet firmly planted in underground dance music. After debuting on the scene in 2003, Micah quickly gained momentum by signing his music and remixes to some of the most sought after electronic dance music labels in the world, including Progressive House Uber-marque Global Underground. 

Setting out on Tech-House/Trance Legend Chris Cowie's UG Records, Micah's climb was fast and furious with nearly 70 releases & remixes between 2003/10. This gained him thousands of fans from all corners of the world. After nearly a decade away from the spotlight, Micah has returned in full form.

He also became noticed as a competent DJ when his Ruhnsong Radio show on ProtonRadio became one of the most listened to shows of the time. This landed him a residency on Progressive breaks biggest act, Hybrid, prestigious mix hosting website hybridized.org. This platinum residency gained Micah instant attention landing him DJ shows across the planet, including a brief jaunt as touring DJ for Global Underground.

It is safe to say Micah has left his mark on the world's underground dance music scene, and there is nothing stopping his rise. Look out for multiple forthcoming releases, remixes and more, there's more to come from this prolific artist and passionate DJ.

Seeing as how I really haven't had much time to spend on music in recent months and also haven't uploaded any new content in quite some time I decided it was the perfect opportunity to just hit "record" on a random studio session and call it November's Chilling Moments Live.

I didn't put much thought into this one and just played whatever I felt like which usually means trying out tracks I've never played before. I started out by using a little intro section I had put together for a Chilling Moments months ago but never got back to.

I'll really try to just record more random studio sessions in the future as I don't seem to have much time to dedicate to a full mix compilation.

Recording from my set playing right after John Digweed for PLAT4ORM at Cult Nightclub in Sydney, Australia.
This was probably the most important gig of my career to date, taking the reigns at 2am from one of the most important and legendary DJs in the entire electronic music scene (and one of my personal heroes) John Digweed. 
I took this opportunity to play a lot of heavy hitting progressive, euphoria-enducing acid house/techno & heaving bass-led anthems - it doesn't get much better than this!

Well this one should have been out weeks ago but March turned into a bit of an exercise in having no free time. So... we are gonna call this April and it's early instead of very late. The power of positive thinking right?

Back to a traditional 2 hour melodic journey at a reasonable pace that is more geared towards the dance floor (in contrast to January's mix) with this one. Loads of great music from great artists and labels. I probably could have called this one the "2 hour Will DeKeizer prog sandwich" given its starting and ending point but we're not going to do that.

Chilling Moments April 2023

I’m glad and grateful that you all enjoy my Progressive House sets 🙏🏼. My roots as a DJ however lie in the disco music of the 70's and R&B of the 80's. From now on I will occasionally post a set from these periods in my PABLO’S HYSTERIC HISTORY CLASS series, starting with this pure disco set.

Happy to share a new 2 hour home studio session from April 10, 2023. Unlike a lot of my studio mixes this particular mix has no premeditated programming to it and is just an afternoon practice session playing some new tunes (and a few older ones) sort of at random for the first time. This mix starts out in organic house territory and builds throughout the 2 hours into slightly heavier progressive material.

Performed and recorded on a Pioneer DDJ-800.

Chilling Moments Live April 2023

A fixture on the East Coast electronic music scene for more than two decades, Sean has earned the respect of electronic music lovers, DJs and promoters all over with his intelligent and smooth storytelling blend of organic and progressive house.

A true technical perfectionist who combines outstanding programming skills with near flawless execution all while playing to the atmosphere in which he is performing, Sean once earned himself the reputation as one of the most consistent performers in the East. His professional approach and attention to detail provided him with many memorable opportunities throughout the years having compiled a very long list of accomplishments.

Introduced to electronic music in the 80s and early 90s by musical acts like Depeche Mode and New Order it wasn't until he listened to Sasha & John Digweed's "Northern Exposure" in 1996 that his world really changed forever. Falling in love with the sound of the Global Underground, Sean was moved to share this new found love of electronic dance music with others. After an extended period of honing basic DJ skills at home he recorded and distributed his first demo to a few select Halifax promoters and was lucky enough to be given his first public performance at the now infamous Baseline Fridays @ Reflections.

Championing a sound and style that was a bit different for Halifax at the time, Sean quickly become known as one of the early pioneers of progressive house in Atlantic Canada. Holding residencies over the years with some of the most influential production companies including Massive Productions and Underdog Productions while also working the after hours scene with Kyle Kurts at various venues including Sub Rosa, Sean's reputation in the scene grew and provided him with many memorable experiences having played alongside a very long list of some of the world's biggest headliners including Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Luke Fair, Steve Porter, Ferry Corsten, Kaskade, Calvin Harris, Darude and Sultan to name just a few. In 2003 Sean was lucky enough to play alongside one of the DJs ultimately responsible for his musical journey, Sasha. A very special club event that continued into the wee hours of the morning at a local after hours venue where Sean & Sasha treated a small, intimate crowd to an impromptu tag set that still remains as one of Halifax's most indelible electronic music memories.

Somewhat more recently in 2011 Sean provided the winning mix in John Digweed's "Structures Two" international mix contest and was featured on Digweed's highly acclaimed radio show "Transitions". An accomplishment that even the most seasoned of international touring DJs aspires to.

While Sean's live performances have become increasingly rare in recent years, his love for the music remains unwavering and he regularly releases new mixes in his long running mix series "Chilling Moments" which initially started as a SHOUTCast live broadcast through CyberDJs.ca and is now celebrating its 20th year.

With Sean's dedication to the craft, ear for the music and storytelling ability each one of his sets is sure to be an emotional journey through sound.
