For the 17th edition of the Mosaic Mix Series we turn to two of Philadelphia’s finest , O’Keef and Sean Thomas , with each providing an hour plus of quality house and techno funk. We’re sure you’ll enjoy their vibe…

With a pedigree stretching back to the early 90’s O’Keef played a vital role in pushing house music within Philadelphia's local rave scene and after a long break away from things has been quietly reasserting himself on the local scene to a new generation of clubbers in recent years. 

His production credits include work with his long time collaborator Rob Paine under the guise of "Circle", with 6 releases now out across Leftroom, Worship Recordings and Dubwise labels. Last year, he released his first solo effort on Worship Recordings with several others due out in 2017. 

Like O’Keef, Sean Thomas has been involved with the Philly dance scene for 20+  years. Recruited early on by Philly’s well-respected Circle crew and having a 4 year stint with 611 Records, as well as his 8 year residency at his very own Drumsong, his exceptional skill and versatility as a selector are evident to all who hear his sets. Since 2014, Sean has been working with Rizumu at 52Hz, a private loft converted from an old kung fu studio, a partnership that has been said to set the pace for underground techno and house in Philadelphia. 

Sean’s mindful approach to music production has found support with discerning heads across the map for many years, tallying releases and remixes for labels Worship Recordings, Sound Between Movement, Illusion Recordings, Nordic Trax, Recline Records, Warmth Records and DiY Discs.

For the second installment of the #Subsessions Podcast, We are happy to host Philly mainstay and the first ever guest DJ Subsurface has ever hosted @sean-thomas

Sean has worked tirelessly bringing nothing but quality selection to the Philadelphia underground scene for the last 20 years. Some of his biggest accolades include heading one of the most well respected party crews on the east coast, Rizumu.
