Today we are happy to share with you Bas Dobbelaer’s interpretation of Far Blue. The Amsterdam based DJ and producer is known for his distinct style, floating between energies with odd signatures and atmospheric sounds. 

With Echoes, Bas Dobbelaer takes you on an introspective journey where shifting rhythms and immersive atmospheres intertwine, creating a very deep contribution to the series.

“With this mix I tried to find the deeper layer of certain tracks and not limit myself too much with different tempo’s ranges. If it fits the vibe and helping the flow, it’s probably the right spot.

Creating a mix is an interesting creative outlet to discovering new possibilities and refining the art of setting the tone. Balancing on that thin line with endless opportunities, reflects the perfect capture of the feeling and learnings of today.”

LEVL performed on the third day of #Mostra25 at the Vall d'Hebron Olympic Pavilion.

Forest Drive West, Felix K and DB1 are LEVL. Together, they explore the murky territory between drum & bass, techno and experimental electronics, crafting a distinctive sound that defies the boundaries of genre. The trio's collaboration began with DB1 and Forest Drive West putting out music through Berlin-based Felix K’s label Hidden Hawaii, which led to the formation of LEVL: a combination of each artist’s unique production approach that creates a cohesive and innovative sound. 

LEVL's debut release, “LEVL#1”, was issued in 2019 on Arcola, a sub-label of Warp Records, a bass- and breaks-heavy record showcasing their ability to blend ambient textures with complex rhythms. “LEVL#2”, on Felix K's Nullpunkt label, further explores the intersection of ambient, drum & bass and techno.

Beyond their recorded output, LEVL brings a strong energy to live performances, delivering an immersive and genre-bending musical experience. With meticulous attention to detail, the group pushes the boundaries of electronic music through soundscapes that challenge and captivate listeners.

Mist veils the forest, and the trees stand silent, their branches etched in fading light. Alcachofa's Deep Breakfast mix is a slow-burning journey through the autumnal haze. Let the sounds guide you deeper.

A music enthusiast, tireless event organiser and avid digger, Alcachofa is a versatile artist with multiple influences and boundless curiosity. Now based in Paris after multiple experiences abroad, he has been a member of the deep techno label Lowless for several years. Alcachofa likes to bring the listener into an intropsective journey where feelings and emotions play a predominant role.

About the mix he said:
"The recording starts slowly, with melodic tunes moving surely into more deep and introspective sounds. As the set moves forward, you can feel how it evolves toward a nostalgic mood, ending with positive notes and a vibe full of hope."

Deep Breakfast 330 ~ Alcachofa

A forest floor thick with fallen leaves. Each one undisturbed, silent and full.

This track explores the theme of Intangible Heritage through our instinct to preserve fleeting moments, and how the act of capturing can transform them and paradoxically create distance.

Created for 20 Years of Freesound open call, awarded 2nd place and presented at Phonos, Barcelona, in October 2025.

Field recordings of slowly walking through leaves are layered with sounds from a copy machine and typewriter, representing an effort to hold onto something. The preservation becomes more chaotic and bureaucratic with the looped office radio sample, a CD being burned, and a damaged tape recording of someone counting trying to align. The warping tone emphasis's a transformation, and the ambient pad sound as the presence still behind it. The piece ends back at the forest floor.
