Jazz musician Gary Bartz has a classic song from way back in 1977 that says" Music is my sanctuary, music is my life." I've always loved that jam but I understand what Mr. Bartz was talking about now more than ever. Music is definitely my "Sanctuary."  The crazier things seem to get out here, the deeper I find myself diving into this music. I said all of that to say that "Volume 10" probably shouldn't be dropping so soon after "VS9" but I literally woke up in the middle of the night thinking about some of these tunes (I had to Play). While this set has some classic anthems, it's also sprinkled with an eclectic 'newbie' here or there. "This Can't Be Life" is one of those songs that's been playing over and over in my head since I received it a couple of weeks ago. This lyrics deserve at least a second listen and Swaylo's voice is simply divine. The tunes got little "Deeper" in the middle of the mix and towards the end we had to venture to the old "Shelter" in NYC with the help of Joe Claussell and Quentin Harris' amazing remixes. I hope you all enjoy the music...

Ladies and gentlemen, let me present to you Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Maxi-Mix Man's 12" remix mega-mix of the singles and a few bits more. Over 52 minutes of pleasure, for your ears! 

This is my way of paying homage to celebrate a summer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, from 30 years ago. I have tried to remix these tracks in a way that it feels they were part of the 12" releases of their time, almost a lost forgotten mix, so no club remixes here. It's Frankie, and Frankie only. 

This remix is purely fan based, non-profit related and I hope in keeping with respect to the original artists. I hope the band members and their fans (of which I am one) will enjoy this playful romp through Frankie's past, and conjure up those memories of 30 years ago! Rage hard indeed, Frankie!

it seems that I'm officially addicted to vinyl again (LOL). We're already on session three which is really my fourth all vinyl set in the last few months, whew knew? "Volume 3" like most of my mixes tries to take the listener on a musical journey within the House Music genre, from "Soulful" to "Afro" to "Deep" and even some "Disco" flavor sprinkled in for good measure. from the early 80s who have been known aside other djs I will name later 




Bristol-based producer Sean McCabe released his first tracks in 2003 and has since fine-tuned a trademark sound that is effortlessly soulful.

McCabe made his name in house, developing a long-running relationship with legendary US garage label King Street Sounds and remixing the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Evelyn Champagne King, Carolyn Harding, Blaze, and Roland Clark. Since then he’s amassed an impressive discography, delivering inspired productions for labels like Local Talk, Strictly Rhythm, Vega Records, Tribe, and Quantize – plus an original solo album for Z Records.

A quick listen to any of his productions or one of his superb DJ sets will confirm this attractive, emotion-rich aesthetic. While rooted in house, his sound regularly takes on flavours of disco, boogie, Afro, deeper grooves, proto-house, ‘90s garage-house dubs and much more besides.

As an artist, his 2014 debut album entitled ‘It’s Time’ on Z Records displays his musical range and versatile quality production skills. The album hit Number 1 on Traxsource in its first week and has received support from the likes of Solar Radio, Mi-Soul, Kiss FM, and Jazz FM.

As a DJ, he forged a reputation at the legendary Southport Weekender, where he performed regularly. Anyone who can impress the notoriously knowledgeable Southport Weekender crowd must be doing something right. Sean has also travelled the world, playing as far afield as Asia and South Africa, as well as regular appearances across Europe and the UK. Refreshingly, he seems to have no particular aspirations to play in gargantuan clubs, and admits to preferring gigs in small, intimate venues, where he can make a connection with the crowd.

As a producer, McCabe is constantly learning and evolving, taking his sound in different directions. He admits to a love of vintage synthesizers – picked up from listening to classic New York boogie and ‘80s soul. In 2016, Sean continued his musical journey by launching ‘Good Vibrations Music’ record label – a natural evolution of his renowned Good Vibrations events in Bristol.

With a successful album under his belt, his own record label and notable collaborations with the likes of Karizma, Turbojazz, and DJ Spen, his reputation for bringing quality soulful dance music to the masses continues to rise.
