In a career spanning more than 25 years a DJ, A&R Director, remixer, club host and broadcaster, Regisford has worked with a huge variety of artists from Stevie Wonder to Steel Pulse and Blaze to Diana Ross, but here he teams up with prolific R&B producer Mike City, who wrote and performed 'Shining'. As a producer, City has worked with artists like Sunshine Anderson, Brandy, Carl Thomas and Dwele, and that shows in an understated R&B-style vocal as Mike City aka Mike Flowers (who's credited here as Mikey Dance) sings a panegyric to his partner spirit and personality. 

Sean McCabe's remix pumps up the raw drums to kick-start the track and soulful chords produce a mid-tempo deep house track that will mix in beautifully with those classics and noughties Strictly Rhythm tunes, while also appealing to soul and deep house fans.

This Mix was inspired by last weekends Two hour Set I played for The Rhythm League crew in Orlando, FL. Whenever I DJ live I never really know what I'm going to play until the last moment. I had a couple of directions that I wanted to go, but since I played last I didn't want to repeat any songs that the other incredible DJ's just played so I chose some of these older cuts which also happen to be some of my favorites. (Wow) We had such a cool and eclectic crowed. Many of the dancers stayed on the floor the entire evening, and for any DJ that's a total thrill. So until I head to your town, put on those headphones and move that furniture back and lets get ready to Dance!!!

I did a Mix a few years ago called "Soulmate' and it featured a really cool picture of this young African Boy dancing and his friends pictured behind him. That  Soulful Afro-House Set is now approaching a half of million views on YouTube. So I guess its time for Part "2.0" and this one was totally inspired by this amazing photo, and I'm so honored the photographer @from_abidjan (Instagram) out of Cote D'Ivoire in Africa allowed me to use his brilliant image. My mission was to add some hot Afro-House that would match the vibe. With bangers from: Shake The Dog featuring Ms. Monique Bingham, Timmy Regisfrod and a yet to be released Remix of Kelvin Sylvester's timely gem titled "Prayer." Soulmate 2.0 should really deliver the goods... Enjoy!!!

Bristol-based producer Sean McCabe released his first tracks in 2003 and has since fine-tuned a trademark sound that is effortlessly soulful.

McCabe made his name in house, developing a long-running relationship with legendary US garage label King Street Sounds and remixing the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Evelyn Champagne King, Carolyn Harding, Blaze, and Roland Clark. Since then he’s amassed an impressive discography, delivering inspired productions for labels like Local Talk, Strictly Rhythm, Vega Records, Tribe, and Quantize – plus an original solo album for Z Records.

A quick listen to any of his productions or one of his superb DJ sets will confirm this attractive, emotion-rich aesthetic. While rooted in house, his sound regularly takes on flavours of disco, boogie, Afro, deeper grooves, proto-house, ‘90s garage-house dubs and much more besides.

As an artist, his 2014 debut album entitled ‘It’s Time’ on Z Records displays his musical range and versatile quality production skills. The album hit Number 1 on Traxsource in its first week and has received support from the likes of Solar Radio, Mi-Soul, Kiss FM, and Jazz FM.

As a DJ, he forged a reputation at the legendary Southport Weekender, where he performed regularly. Anyone who can impress the notoriously knowledgeable Southport Weekender crowd must be doing something right. Sean has also travelled the world, playing as far afield as Asia and South Africa, as well as regular appearances across Europe and the UK. Refreshingly, he seems to have no particular aspirations to play in gargantuan clubs, and admits to preferring gigs in small, intimate venues, where he can make a connection with the crowd.

As a producer, McCabe is constantly learning and evolving, taking his sound in different directions. He admits to a love of vintage synthesizers – picked up from listening to classic New York boogie and ‘80s soul. In 2016, Sean continued his musical journey by launching ‘Good Vibrations Music’ record label – a natural evolution of his renowned Good Vibrations events in Bristol.

With a successful album under his belt, his own record label and notable collaborations with the likes of Karizma, Turbojazz, and DJ Spen, his reputation for bringing quality soulful dance music to the masses continues to rise.
