Úna Heera is a songwriting collaboration that was formed by good friends living in the creatively flavourful neighbourhood of West End, Brisbane. The name was inspired by Dawn's great grandmothers, Una from America and Heera from India, two incredibly brave women who conjured so much strength through difficult times. 

The songs and stories of Úna Heera were born from harrowing personal experiences and inspired by loved ones, past and present. Stories of survival, friendship, love, solidarity and healing. This magical ensemble of singer/songwriters and musicians includes: Dawn on lyrics & keys, Kris Field on lyrics & accordion, Hughie Doherty on guitar, slide & ukulele, Daryl James on banjo, mandolin & guitar, and Sam Reynolds on bass.
