Jazz in Dirty Sneakers

Starting 2026 with a BANG! 21 year old Music Producer and Florida native Daniel Proctor or more commonly know as, 'Out Here Dani' is giving music lovers an early look at what some of Atlanta's underground gems have to offer. This 21 track album features collaborations with bigger Atlanta artists such as Jripey and YNS Corey. However, it also introduces lesser known creatives like 2wan, CIOR, PAPEFLOW and Luh Ty. As 'DANi' puts it, "I wanted this album to have a softer and sadder feel. The beats aren't super energetic or hype, but rather mellow and woeful." This would be true as these Georgia based artists rap over somber melodies and heartbreak-pop samples like 'Alright' by EKKSTACY and The Kid Laroi on track 2. Rockstar High. Or on 'Helluva Plan' where Jripey laments past partners on the Delaney Bailey sample 'Oh Love'. DANi loves creating a euphoric and rather depressing atmosphere, inviting listeners to get in their feelings and sit with the bad memories. Though this won't last and it's evident with the final track, 'TIL PAPE BACK' because the long time DANi collaborator PAPEFLOW makes us feel inspired and hopeful for the future. Although PAPEFLOW is serving time, DANi has said that he wants this album to show off these ATL rapper's talent and headspaces, leaving audiophiles with an introspective, satisfying and reassuring conclusion to this bold debut album.

This is the emotional center of the album. It feels like a Sunday morning in 1972—warm, protective, and steeped in the spirit of Donny Hathaway. The Fender Rhodes wraps around you like a blanket, while the vocal delivery shifts from storytelling to a full-throated prayer. It’s a lullaby for the young kings growing up under streetlights, offering a benediction for their survival and their success.

The foundation is warm Fender Rhodes and gospel harmonies, pulling from a DNA that feels like The Ghetto (Donny Hathaway) meeting a modern benediction. As the song builds, the music swells with gospel energy and the plea becomes urgent—“Somebody guard him! Somebody guide!”—a moment of pure, unadulterated soul that transcends the speakers.

If Jingle Of The Keys was the diagnosis of the trap, Little Ghetto Boy is the inoculation against it.
