Hello! I’m Angel, a 19-year old singer/songwriter from London. My music is based in the genres of Pop, Dark Pop & Alternative Pop.

Michele Salvemini, in arte Caparezza, nasce a Molfetta nel 1973 e ha dato il via alla sua carriera nel 1996 con il nome Mikimix.

Il percorso come Caparezza inizia nel 1998 con la pubblicazione del demo “Ricomincio da Capa”. Il 2000 segna il suo esordio vero e proprio con un album intitolato “?!”. Il lavoro che lo fa conoscere al grande pubblico arriva tre anni dopo con il famoso “Verità Supposte”. Il singolo apripista “Fuori dal Tunnel” racconta molto del suo stile e del suo messaggio: è una forma di accusa contro il “divertimentificio” notturno che impone uno standard anche per lo svago.
Nel 2006 esce il terzo album “Habemus Capa”, seguito due anni dopo da “Le Dimensioni del mio Caos”: un concept album che l’autore per primo definisce come “fonoromanzo”, un fotoromanzo ma sonoro. Gli estratti da quest’ultimo lavoro sono le indimenticabili “Vieni a ballare in Puglia”, “Abiura di me” e “Io diventerò qualcuno”.

Nel 2011 pubblica “Il sogno eretico”, il quinto lavoro in studio anticipato dal brano “Goodbye Maliconia”, realizzato con Tony Hadley. Il messaggio di questa nuova creazione è tutto in un inno all’eresia, che sia religiosa o culturale. Nella tracklist si trovano da Savonarola a Giovanna D’Arco e Galileo Galilei, accomunati da un destino sfortunato e meritevoli di essere definiti eroi dal cantautore.
Il 2012 è l’anno di “Esecuzione pubblica”, il primo album live con cd e dvd che racconta il successo di “Eretico Tour 2011-2012”: uno show musicale, che include video, arredi, comparse, e trovate sceniche quasi da teatro, dal forte impatto e ironia.
Nel 2014 Caparezza pubblica “Museica”: 19 brani inediti dedicati al mondo dell’arte, registrato a Molfetta e mixato a Los Angeles da Chris Lord-Alge. Il singolo apripista è “Non me lo posso permettere” e, a detta dello stesso Caparezza, questo sesto album è in realtà un nuovo “primo” disco, dove lui è sia autore che produttore. Ogni brano prende spunto da un’opera pittorica che diventa un pretesto per raccontare un determinato concetto.

Nel 2017 torna con “Prisoner 709”. Anche questo lavoro è stato creato tra Molfetta e Los Angeles ed è una raccolta di 16 tracce a cui partecipano John De Leo, Max Gazzè e DMC. Il disco racconta la sua “prigionia” e attraverso un percorso di autoanalisi arriva all’accettazione di un disagio. L’album è stato certificato disco di Platino e il primo estratto è il pezzo “Ti fa stare bene”. 709 nasconde un significato pensato sui contrasti: lo 0 rappresentato dal disco è una scelta, un’opposizione tra due forze, tra una parola di 7 lettere oppure una di 9 che si ritrova in tutti i brani; “Michele o Caparezza”, “libertà o prigionia”, “aprirsi o chiudersi, “compact o streaming”.
Nel 2021 è il momento attesissimo del suo ritorno. Esce “Exuvia” un disco di 14 tracce scritte, composte e prodotte da Caparezza e mixate ancora da Chris Lord-Alge. L’exuvia è la vecchia pelle dell’insetto dopo la muta e rappresenta la trasformazione del Capa, tra passato e presente.
