DJ Katnip aka KittyMel started djing about July of 2011 cause of a friend asking for help of a dj in a club in a virtual world called Second Life. Since then, DJ Katnip has took off into the streams hitting up those awesome metal, industrial, ebm, power-noise, aggrotech, dubstyle, electro rock, jrock tuneage along with remixing those very genres as well. I first cut my techno teeth as a member of Kraftreaktor in 1994 (Cape Town, ZA), a techno-trance jam based outfit that played synced midi devices mixed with live percussion and samples
using some of the classic gear we all know and love including:

Roland TB303, TR909, MV30, MC303, Casio FZ1 and RZ1, Alesis MMMT8 ,Moog Rogue, Waldorf Pulse +, Prophet VS and many other classic analogue and digital gear from that time.

All track’s performed live at several raves and club nights, no pre-arrangement, using the 909 as the master clock, and parts triggered or faded in, knobs manipulated etc.

After moving to the UK in 1999, I self-released a bedroom album on mp3.com in 1998 as RePsycle (BeyondNRG), blending various genre’s from ambient and dub to techno and trance while working and learning to DJ in London, Birmingham and Sheffield.

Returning back to ZA in 2003, I joined the event art collective, Groovy Troopers, and DJ’d /played ambient, progressive, lo-fi, techno and electro sets under various names (Ninjah,DJ Val,Sygyl) at festivals and clubs.

After a more than 10 year break, I dusted off all my old gear and decided to start writing and producing music again as NinjaHZA, my final form.

Singer-songwriter Antonio Asfura went from participating on multiple television programs for Univision Network to achieving global music presence and multiple number one positions on radio stations when signing with Gatbik®, a record label, distributor, publishing company, and artist merchandise sales company.  

Asfura’s hit list includes “Sin Duda”, “Sin Duda: La Canción y La Novela” (an original song and novel put together in book format and dedicated to all immigrants forced to leave their homeland), “Adicción” (which music video was shared by PETA Latino as it conveys a clear message against animal abuse), “Mil Razones Para Amar”, and “Chicle” (which went viral on multiple countries like Argentina, Venezuela, United States, Costa Rica, Russia, Indonesia, Ukraine, Turkey, India, Germany).  

His most recently released song is “Pegando”, a Latin urban pop song that is energetic, romantic, and features a captivating artwork.
