'Dilo 12' is a bonus track from Emika's new 'Klavirni LP', a piano music album inspired by a visit to her family home in Buckinghamshire and a reunion with her old favourite piano.

A sober and melancholy journey that sounds like it should have been on the score for Donnie Darko, 'Dilo 12' is a variation on Beethoven's classic Moonlight Sonata, and a great example of how Emika manipulates and evokes emotion on the LP.

Winter has always been a time of loss for me, and this year is no exception, unfortunately.  I wrote this for a dear friend who has passed and who I will remember with affection, always.   It's bittersweet but hopefully uplifting at the same time, as it seems the ones we've lost always visit us in our dreams.  They're only a dream away.
