Our Band History:

The Beginning:

We started rehearsing and writing songs in September 2014. We rehearsed four to six hours a week. Our original keyboard player Joel Roxendal parted ways early and was replaced by Hugo Sundberg. Hugo joined merely a few weeks before our first gig in November. We played the classic set of Kings and Queens, When it ends and followed by I remember. All piano parts got rewritten by Hugo. All of the songs written after this Hugo has been a part of.

Music competitions:

After our first gig we started writing Suicide song and started to prepare for the music competitions (Battle of the bands). Although we didn’t qualify in the first competition, we went to the finals in the second one. Whilst playing local gigs and the music competitions, we decided to record an Ep. So we met Eric Wiss from Peakroom Studios and we felt a connection right away! So then finally we sat for hours a whole week recording. Eric did an amazing job, mixing and mastering our Ep. 

Summer 2015:

During the summer of 2015 we took a break and met slightly less than before. We finished two new songs, so we had the songs from the Ep and two extra numbers.

Management:

The fourth of September 2015 we welcomed a new member to our group. His name is Oliver Sandström and he has the role as the manager in the band.

French lyricist and fiction writer, who writes both in English and in French. Two CD's out with several others in the works. I have also written a rock opera ("In Odin's name") which hopefully will be staged at some point. I am also actively working on a French-language musical.

Mercy Isle was formed in November 2014 by Kassandra Novell.
