No Borders (Composition for "No Border No Nation" by Andrea Salzmann)

This was my lockdown coping project. The title is a statement that seems concise, but when heard time and again, goes along with a feeling of uncertainty, improvising new strategies, abandoning them, trying to find a rhythm and sometimes losing all sense of time and purpose. With all plans being cancelled or indefinitely postponed, I aimlessly switched between projects, old or new, but always unfinished, and eventually created some algorithms to compose music instead. Temporal shifts, alternating patterns and unstable rhythmic structures are the recurring themes of this album.
