Sprout presents some exciting new remixes of label favourite, Criss Sources’ 2005 monster hit, Hugs N Kisses.

To say a track like this can make a career, really isn’t the platitude you think. It was certainly career-defining, but came at just the right time after years of hard work. Coming up to three decades at the pinnacle of the industry goes to show how far removed from the idea of the one-trick pony Criss Source truly is. His legacy spans multiple genres and many high performing labels, including Harthouse, Parquet and Beat Boutique

Nearly 30 years of soundtracking dancefloors across the world, and building a back catalogue arsenal of club bombs to rival any of his peers. Originally released in December of 2004, Hug’s N Kisses became one of the most played tracks for the next 4 years. A true club anthem supported by everyone from DJ Hell and Carl Cox right through to John Digweed and Nick Warren. Presented here with fresh remixes for 2025 by Peter Makto and Riko & Gugga, new life is injected into one of clubland's most enduring moments.

Peter Makto’s mix opens innocently enough, building tension over the first half of the track, steadily adding percussion and deep bass and muted arps. Everything unleashes in the main break, filters open the energy turns up to 11 and the dancefloor explodes in melody, and joyous excitement.

Riko & Gugga hit the ground running with a Bladerunner-esque bass and galloping percussion before acid shots and crazy psy-trance fx drive the floor wild. Aimed squarely at the peak-time, this is one secret weapon you deploy with great care. Once you set this one off theres no going back!

Esto es parte de mi legado, aquí se queda una parte de mi alma y de mi corazón...

No tengo palabras para explicar lo que Spellcastr me hizo sentir, todas esas lagrimas, todos esos viajes, toda esa gente a la que pude llegar por medio de este proyecto; Spellcastr me enseño a ser fuerte, me enfrenté a muchos miedos y los vencí, porque creí en mi desde el primer día, aún cuando la corriente iba en contra. Pasé por encima de muchas criticas, de muchos obstáculos, pero lo mejor de todo es que me DIVERTI! Disfruté al maximo cada momento, cada canción, cada batalla, Spelcastr me hizo conocer lugares impresionantes, gente increíble, pero mas allá de todo esto, Spellcastr me hizo conocerme al máximo, me enseño a mostrarme tal y como soy, me dio el aliento para poder transmitir mi sentir a través de esto tan hermoso que es la música...

Gracias a todos aquellos que estuvieron cerca de mi apoyándome, gracias a mi familia,a la cultura electro que fue mi cuna y mi lugar de crianza como productor, a mis amigos y a cada una de las personas que creyeron en este proyecto que nació en mi habitación y que, después, me llevo a darle la vuelta al mundo, me conectó en alma, mente y cuerpo con personas y lugares que jamás imaginé conocer!

Les doy un consejo? Siempre crean en ustedes, ustedes siempre serán su mejor apuesta, solo se necesitan ganas, y así, podrán lograr todo lo que sueñan, recuerden, todos tenemos tiempo para lo que tenemos ganas!

No se si vuelva mañana, en 1 año, en 10, o si no vuelva nunca más, pero de lo único que estoy seguro, es de que no me arrepiento de haber comenzado esto, de haberme arriesgado, de haberme levantado si algo lograba hacerme caer, me llevo el recuerdo de esta hermosa experiencia en mi corazón, esperando que Spellcastr perdure en sus mentes, sus almas y sus corazones de manera atemporal y única.
