The 96th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Juan Pablo Buitrago Amaya - better known as Juan Buitrago from Colombia. Born in the city of Ibagué, Colombia and currently situated in Buenos Aires (Argentina), he started to DJ observing his colleagues and friends, and hence felt the need to place his own ideas in composition. Juan's sound pulls off a combination of complex yet expressive and detailed soundscapes, flowing primarily in the progressive house spectrum and captivating listeners on the dance floor. Having managed to drop music on The Soundgarden, Mango Alley, Deepwibe Underground and many more - braced and supported by Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo just to name a few, we're ready for Juan Buitrago to take over this episode of our show with an exclusive 70-minute set. Born in Beirut/Lebanon. At the age of 14 he developed a passion towards music through listening to different genres. That passion pushed him into the nightlife scene where he used to sneak into electronic music events at an early age. Electronic music was his ultimate guide for the future plans as a career or even as an escape. Mainly inspired by the surrounding daily sounds, he’s always into collecting sounds & sampling to use them in his tracks, especially ambient & organic sounds. Raised in a house with a dad who listened to Pink Floyd, Supertramp, folk music, and a mom that listened to Bee Gees, Giorgio Moroder and Donna Summer, Sebastian was able to develop love for energetic and progressive music.

Around year 2000-2001 He discovered trance and house music on some GateCrasher, D-mode cd compilations. Producers such as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten (System F back then), Mauro Picotto, P.U.S.H where part of his beginnings.

Throughout the years he was able to learn and discover other genres such as melodic & deep house, progressive house and techno.

Nowadays his tracks go from Organic, Deep to Progressive with breaks and melodies all over the place, having the likes of Joseph Capriatti, Paul (AR) RIGOONI, Fernando Ferreyra, d-phrag, Ziger, Savvas, Federico Monachesi, K Loveski among other producers.

Sebastian has played as guest several Podcast such, Movement Live show done by @soulmatestudio-academy,  @deephousesweden , PHA, @deephousemelodic, Naturis Podcast from Canada, Amitabha Sessions, The Sound of Sirin and more!

His monthly podcast, Progressive Sounds comes out every first Sunday of the month on Soundcloud and live on @saturosounds which has had amazing artist such as Wassu, GRAZZE, Nicolas Soria, Ben Pierre, Lila Rose (UY) to name a few.
