If you love hard techno music, you probably remember the massive tune "Nightmare" by Sebastian Groth, Ben Dust and Markus Weigelt that took the scene by storm in 2021. The track was number one on the charts for months, reached millions of streams, was a trendsetter for the current hard techno rave style and became the most successful hard techno track in 2021, but if you thought that was the end of the story, youre wrong. Sebastian Groth, one of the original producers of "Nightmare," has released a new remix that takes the track to a whole new level of intensity. Called "Groths Power Up Mix", the remix is a harder, faster and more aggressive version of the original, with a modern hard dance twist and a pounding hard techno rhythm that gets your head pumping at over 150 BPM. Sebastian Groth is known for his innovative and boundary-pushing approach on remixes, and this one proved to be no exception. He has managed to reinvent "Nightmare" in his own style without losing the essence of the original. The first of a two-part package of exclusive material from the 17th edition in the Watergate CD series is from none other than the duo who commanded the mix, Pan-Pot. Making it even more special is the fact that both tracks are collaborations with two heavy hitting names in the industry from completely different sides of the musical spectrum: Slam and Vincenzo.

On the A side we see Pan-Pot and Slam do a techno burner with 'Conductor'. This shouldn't come as any surprise as both are well known for their heavy peak time club anthems. With driving hi hats, crisp snares and a thumping kick drum, the solid foundation is laid for the craftsmen to build the rest of their masterpiece and it begins with dark, reverb heavy stabs. Slowly a monotonous yet psychedelic tone takes grip and the stabs come again. This time more frequent and building in energy before getting to the break where the white noise grows and the tension builds. With just a few perfect elements it only takes removing a few pieces and then giving them back at the perfect time to instill a massive 'hands in the air' moment.

The flip side offers another vibe which rounds out the EP perfectly. It was in 2007 on the Pan-ORama album that we last saw Vincenzo and Pan-Pot together for 'Faces'. With 'Fiction Inc' we see both artists’ styles shine through. A warm deep sub bass grabs your attention while washes of glittery synths pan the background setting the stage for the lush key work that Vincenzo is synonymous for and the sinister bleeps that scream Pan-Pot. Finally the feature element reveals itself; a mix between dark and uplifting chords that resolve each cycle of the other elements finalizing in a cohesive, driving, emotional ride.

Alan Fitzpatrick is back with a three-track EP that encapsulates what Alan’s Drumcode sound is all about. Hard-hitting drums that fire down onto the dance floor like cannon balls. Check! Intense key patterns that are as twisted as they are uplifting. Check! Beautiful melodies that seamlessly interlock with each element. Check! Big-sounding, infectious grooves and killer hooks generously sprinkled with the infamous Fitzpatrick magic over the top. CHECK! In short, this EP is everything we have come to expect from Alan over his long history with Drumcode (this is his 10th EP as a solo artist!), but still his sound remains fresh and super-charged for 2014.

Liebe User/innen, ich habe mir vor dem U60 Closing Gedanken gemacht, wie ich mich bei euch für alles bedanken kann und bin auf die Idee gekommen, ein Stück U60311 in musikalischer Form zu konservieren. So, dass jeder zu jeder Zeit ein bisschen U um sich haben kann, ganz egal was mit dem Keller passiert. Es ist ein Track entstanden, der fast nur aus den Geräuschen im Keller, euren Schreien und Interviews besteht. Hab zb. die Toilettentüren knallen lassen und die Scharniere von ihnen verriegelt, gegen die Lüftung getrommelt, Jägermeisterflaschen die Treppe runter geworfen, die Barhocker „gesurft“ oder euch heimlich schreiend bei der Stammgastparty aufgenommen. Und dank der vielen Youtube Videos auf dem U60311 Channel habe ich unheimlich viele tolle Aussagen diverser Artists gefunden und eingebaut. Neben Rush, Tony Rohr, Toni Rios, Gayle San, Talla, Soffy O oder Tomcraft haben aber auch Silke, Ralf-Rainer und die Toilettenfrau ihre Verewigung in diesem Lied gefunden! Ich bin gespannt, was und wen ihr alles noch erkennt.
Er ist nicht perfekt, aber er ist U60311 - und das seid ihr! Ich hoffe sehr, dass er euch immer dann ein Stück Zuhause geben kann, wenn ihr es braucht! 

Tony Rohr hat einmal die richtigen Worte über unser U und damit den Titel des Liedes gefunden: 

„It´s magic. If you weren´t here you fucking missed it. If you were here you know what I´m talking about!“

As the label operator of ReWasted, one of the main addresses for hard techno worldwide, he is also one of the most influential players when it comes to the defining sound and trends of the last ten years in the field of hard techno. With a mix of uncompromising techno, his own edits and special old-school vibes, he skillfully generates his very own genre on the edge of madness by using classic hardcore and schranz elements: power techno!
It is this tendency to DJ as a true entertainer with contact to the crowd, a smile on his face and a slightly ironic attitude to his own work that characterizes Sebastian. The Westerwald (Germany) native discovered his passion for electronic music early. At the age of 14, he bought his first DJ set-up and organized his first illegal rave at the age of 16. His first own release in 2008 found its way straight to house music pioneer George Morel, who gave him the opportunity to remix his 1993 classic "Let's Groove". This first major success paved the way for a great career.
Since then, Sebastian has made himself a name as a workaholic, not only as a producer and remixer. His discography includes countless releases on some of the most important labels for hard techno and includes remixes for the who's who of the top league. So, it comes as no surprise he's received a multitude of awards for his work over the years, including the award for "Best Techno Producer".
Since his beginnings, the techno scene has changed many times, many artists have come and gone, but Sebastian has stayed, because: His heart beats 150 BPM and faster.
