Berlin-based producer and live act Nils Hoffmann returns to Anjunadeep with new single ‘Let Me Go’, featuring TENDER. The single is paired with the announcement of his sophomore album ‘A Radiant Sign’, out September 2nd.

The album marks the beginning of a new chapter for the 26-year-old up-and-comer. Finding himself going through a transitional stage in his life, Nils used the album to help him escape and give him hope in uncertain times.

“The album is about new beginnings, and represents the beautiful results that can come from fighting through difficult circumstances. I wanted to give people a collection of music that they can be absorbed by; giving them the hope and faith to keep going through the twists and turns of life. While writing the album, I realised that challenging situations do eventually come to an end, and while facing those challenges, it’s best to look ahead. That’s what ‘A Radiant Sign’ stands for.”

Having started releasing music and touring the world at the young age of 16, Nils already has a wealth of experience to call upon. Drawing musical inspiration from artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Ólafur Arnalds and Stephan Bodzin, Nils showcases his masterful melodic house productions over the 13 tracks of ‘A Radiant Sign’. From the intertwining synths in ‘Let Me Go’, to the hard hitting drums in ‘Tiderays’, and the ambient textures in ‘A Radiant Sign’, Nils blends meticulously crafted electronic elements, with vocals and organic sounds throughout.

‘A Radiant Sign’ features a broad range of collaborations, including electronic duo TENDER, South African vocalist Julia Church, singer-songwriter Panama, acclaimed Australian songstress Gordi, London artist bailey, ‘Breathing’ vocalist Malou, UK duo Hi Frisco, and renowned neo-classical composer Niklas Paschburg.

‘Let Me Go’ follows on from Nils’ recent Anjunadeep double A-side ‘9 Days / Cranes’, the former of which features on the upcoming album, and ‘Breathing’, his smash-hit collaboration with Ben Böhmer and Malou. ‘Breathing’ has so far amassed over 30M streams to date, and gained support from BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM and Sunshine Live. This adds to an already-impressive list of tastemakers like Diplo, Bob Moses and Pete Tong who’ve championed his work on Poesie Musik, Ton Töpferei, Bitbird and Counter Records.

Nils is part of the next wave of emerging talent from London-based electronic label Anjunadeep, who have broken electronic music stars such as Lane 8, Yotto, Eli & Fur and Ben Böhmer.

‘A Radiant Sign’ is out September 2 on Anjunadeep.

Triart teams up with vocalist Helin Yazmalar for a massive single entitled “Hold On to Me” on Ethereal Future Music.

Following their first release of 2022 as a two-tracker EP titled “Unending”, Triart is set to release their long awaited single “Hold On to Me”, featuring a vocalist Helin on July 21st. “Hold On to Me” employs hypnotic drums, addictive groove with euphoric pads fluttering underneath the Helin’s intoxicating vocals alluring the listeners from start to finish. The lyrics of the song mirror a real-life situation, depicting a life that still carries a little hope in the face of disappointment and difficulties in a relationship. While the general narrative of the piece draws a moody and dark portrait as if in harmony with the lyrics, built on an effervescent soundscapes in breakdown paves the way for a peak time impact with distorted lead melody.
Heavily supported by some of the biggest acts and played on revered stages from New York to London, Triart delivers its stand-out track to date that keeps telling a powerful story and staying true to this very ideal.

The self-technicalization of Homo Faber is already in process and leads to the merging of the digital and the physical worlds in all aspects of life. Will this process lead to a world where reality is relative? To emphasize this current development, Alexander Trattler and I have created a project that captures the state of this on-going process in the art world, by releasing an extra special EP and NFT package. Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going? Besides being the name of a famous Gauguin painting, these are questions that have most probably been valid for any given time period. In ancient Greece, Socrates believed that the purpose of the human mind is to explore the nature of virtue in order to perfect the soul and build a life based on ethical knowledge. Epicurus thought, meanwhile, that the goal of living is to receive pleasure, not sensory though, but through getting rid of physical pain, emotional restlessness, suffering and fear of death. Medieval Europe and India, despite cultural differences, had the same understanding of the meaning of life – worship of ancestors, adherence to common religious and mythical ideals, and the importance of ascribed status. Schopenhauer defined a person’s life as the product of a metaphysical will: people think they act on their own, but are in reality driven by someone else’s will. Danish philosopher Kierkegaard argued that life is full of absurdity and that humans must create their own values in an indifferent world. Pragmatic philosophers believe that instead of searching for the truth about life, people should seek a useful understanding of life. And so on and so forth. Natural disasters, epidemics, wars, the rich and the poor will come and go, but questions about the meaning of life and those who seek answers for them have always been and will forever be there. The text turned out this way perhaps because when listening to @oh_why’s music, you want to either ask yourself Gauguin’s questions or be the one who finds the answers.
