She was gracious and elegant, dancing softly before them all as they watched onwards with jealousy and glee. From time to time she would vanish into the smoke and the fog, only to emerge more radiant and glowing than before she had disappeared. This was all part of the magic, all part of the allure and the intrigue of such a beautiful display. She caught each onlookers eyes, longingly taking them in before whispering softly "can I be your geisha?" It was enough to set the whole damn world on fire, at least for an evening anyway. 

Naomie Klaus is set to release a new tape via Bamboo Shows, a meandering, odd assortment of synth, new wave and electronic sounds which touch upon pop. It's whimsical and weird, wonderful and wild.

Shades of auburn, orange and brown swept the park, from high up in the trees to the blanket that covered the ground. Autumn had arrived; it was in the colour of the leaves that crunched underfoot, the long scarves draped over the shoulders of passersby and in the slight chill that permeated the air. Though the cold was setting in, the benches that lined the park still looked inviting. You could mind your business and watch the world go by; here there was time for contemplation and reflection, space for inspiration and enlightenment. 

Brussels independent station Kiosk Radio has become a buzzing hub for the music community in the city. For the first release on their newly minted label offshoot, Kiosk Recs, they shine a light on a group of artists from within this community, station residents and members of Undo Seat Belts and Plein Sud who operate under the name PAL.

An ode to the Parc Royal, which has been the home of Kiosk Radio since it began in 2017, over nine tracks 'Music For Hikers' ruminate on their favourite places in the park, which took on a new meaning during lockdown. Moving through different moods and tempos, the LP is a blend of ambient, downtempo, spoken word and new wave which were originally commissioned by local art center Beursschouwburg as part of their On The Go sound walk series.

They are here, all over: sudden, random molecular movements. Invisible and yet extremely effective. Perceptible only to those who turn on things from a peculiar outlook. Now Rio unfolds the second edition of “Risks Issues Opportunities”, bringing interstellar musical developments full of little, yet profound molecule advances. Eight mystical fate spinners, with the muscle to shed some light on unanswered questions, that will stay unanswered after all. Monolithic, yet deeply fragile compositions, made by terrestrials like Leipzig based producer Syncboy, Pannotia from Sydney, Italy based dusty drum machines lovers Twoonky, Charlotte Simon, known as one half of the art duo Les Trucs from Frankfurt, Berlin mystic’s like Airaboi or Nadia D'Alò of the duo INIT, Brooklyn based “The Thing” housekeeper Willie Burns and Vienna’s symbolist sound poet Bocksrucker. They all created electric signs for the above. Murky analogue prophesiers without prophecy, bringing headway music against the greedy frontier spirit. Hypnotic tones out of a hazy musical outer space. Like a dream that forgot to dream, they wave around with veiled frequencies full of ray, processed through analogue machine power. Music, that is able to in sight humans to an Atget photography. Able to transmit flashes to the firmament, to stars that wander darkling in eternal space. And yes: to some who listen a sudden physical movement might transpire, despite the fact that all was made without a particular practical value. Art for art's sake. In favor of an alternative to reality. Compellingly haunted by itself. Like stone, that awaits a random molecular movement.

C12 is a multidisciplinary nightclub and platform run by the Deep in House collective, located in the heart of Brussels. It's a safe place where freedom, diversity, creativity and alternative culture are protected from the restrictive and normative outside world. The project was launched in February 2018 and includes concerts, art installations, lives, club nights and exhibitions.

The Corona crisis is keeping our doors closed and dancefloor empty for several weeks now, with no hopes yet on new line-ups and crowds of enthusiastic dancers. But this unprecedented situation isn’t holding us still. Continuing to support our local Brussels and Belgian electronic music scene, C12 is proud to announce its own label with 10 music compilations dubbed Social Distancing. All artists involved are Belgian or strongly connected to the Brussels scene. Confirmed are Le Motel, Stellar OM Source, A.Brehme, Front De Cadeaux, Davy, OCB Casa Voyager, Cabasa, Techno Thriller, Orphan Swords, Different Fountains, Bear Bones Lay Low, Gols, Hadone, ... and our residents Session 4000, Kafim & Chris Ferreira. Compilations will also be curated by female artists promoting platform ‘Psst Mlle’ and queer culture collective ‘Benediction’.

Each edition consists of a collection of several tracks and will be released every two weeks, leading to a total of approximately fifty tracks. All music will be available to add on your favorite streaming service Soundcloud, Youtube, Spotify (coming soon) and Bandcamp. In addition for each track we offer a limited amount of 500 free downloads through our Bandcamp page, where donations are also enabled for those who wish to support us and the artists involved.

Just after the start of lockdown, Hodge aka Jacob Martin released his debut LP, Shadows In Blue, his first foray into the world of the long player. Gaining critical acclaim, and with clubbing on hold indefinitely, the album makes the most of that flexibility, building on his dancefloor sensibilities while making good on the experimental tendencies that have long lain just beneath the surface of his music.

Fast forward a further half year and Lockdown 2.0 is in full effect in the UK, but this time we want club bangers, a sense of release, the urge to dance.

It’s a great joy to host our long time friend and collaborator, Theo Delaunay aka Panoptique aka Constance Chlore, to release his first solo album on Macadam Mambo. Head of the Simple Music Experience label (dedicated to release punk experiment on tape), member of Violent Quand On Aime, Succhiamo, Simplists, Ono Omen and United Assholes, he had previously been part of the “Danzas Electricas” volumes 1 and 3, released a little single in 2019 and curated the “Simple Music Experience Vol.2” compilation in the house. 

Panoptique sticks to what he knows to do the best, to present his stories, singing spoken words, gogolitos deliriums, whispers and rough voices on Minimal Synth Wave ballads or Drexciyan’s Electro bangers. It’s brut, mental, sometimes brutal and so so groovy in the meanwhile. 
Special mention to his guest : Fiesta En El Vacio, for her ‘caliente’ featuring on “Menta Y Regaliz”.
