This enthralling “20 Years Compilation” sees Sébastien Léger mark the conclusion of his year-long celebration of his past two decades in the music business. The retrospective on his own established Mistakes Music label is formed of a selection of Sébastien’s favourite tracks - ones that he thinks deserve to be known, discovered and revisited at this landmark point in his career. This isn’t about greatest hits, the selection reflects all his tastes over the years as a producer, providing a unique opportunity to hear his music in the context of when it was originally released and join the dots through the years right up to his sounds of today.

About the EP :
Rising Bulgarian talent Imperieux returns to ATLANT after his ATL008 debut with a fresh batch of music. This second release demonstrates a maturity and evolution in his sound, so we just had to bring this music to you at the earliest opportunity.

Lead track ‘Culture Mess’ is a dark dense twilight trip with a twisted arp theme pitted against thrashing, crashing percussive elements and venemous rasping snares.

By sharp contrast ‘Gen’ focuses on tribal elements and evokes far off mystic lands with vibrant flowing organic sounds and mystic nomadic textures.
The intense ‘Aritmetika’ takes this EP back to the dancefooor and is perfect for that moment when everyone is lost in their own thoughts, oblivious to external factors ... because only the music matters.

Closing out our 12th release is ‘Talking To Myself’. This has more of a straight forward 4/4 jam, but don’t be lulled into a false sense of security. The eerie trippy synth lines and snipped echoed vocal edits with get deep into your mind. Four tracks that warrant repeated plays, Impérieux has really delivered something special.

These tracks have been getting a lot of attention after ATLANT label leader BOg gave audiences a sneak preview at recent gigs in Beirut, Paris and Cologne. The likes of Trikk has also been playing this music out live to fantastic reception.

Jonny White’s acclaimed Art Department alias continues to serve up essential house music with a new package featuring a standout original as well as remixes from Damian Lazarus, Clive Henry and Nitin & Down 2 feat. Lorenzo Dada.

Art Department continued to light up the world’s best clubs and festivals throughout 2018 and into 2019. He also served up vinyl chart topping EPs on No.19 and Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory that showed his style is constantly evolving, always connecting the dots between the past, present and future, finding fresh new ground in the house sphere. This new track comes as a fantastic live version with a typically on- point selection of remixes.

The lead single, ‘Normalizm,’ is a brilliantly elastic piece of house music, with infectious and busy drums setting a playful mood. Fat synths warp around the beats and the whole thing has a restlessness to it that cannot fail to make you move. Scene mainstay and Crosstown Rebels’s driving creative force Damian Lazarus steps up with a remix that fantastically reworks the track into eight darkly involving minutes of synth laden intensity. The drums twist and turn, and the pads bring real late night emotion to the groove.

Circoloco resident and producer of some of house music’s chunkiest sounds Clive Henry then steps up. His well-constructed remix flips the track into something deep, liquid and stripped back. It’s a fluid groove for intimate after parties that really gets under your skin.

Last of all, label co-owner Nitin joins forces with the enigmatic Down 2 for a remix that features keys from classically trained pianist, and respected producer in his own right, Lorenzo Dada. Recorded at Zee’s infamous studio facility in Toronto, this perfect final piece of the puzzle is beautifully spaced out and delicate. The keys are tender and emotive and the rolling drums get you lost in a cinematic and widescreen reverie.

This is a wonderfully varied package that covers plenty of musical ground, and marks another high point from the always on point Art Department and No.19 Music.

It is with great pleasure that "Chapter 24 Records" welcome Stevie R back for a mini album to be released in two parts, each part respectively titled Oropós and Ta Paidia Tis Geitonias.
Stevie has been busy honing his signature "Rebetronica" sound, dynamically fusing the Rebetiko folk music of his Greek homeland with cutting edge influences and analogue electronics. Here he teams up with Parisinos, with whom he is forming a partnership for his own imprint Inside Out Records. The results are impressive, building on his debut album Melt released on Chapter 24 last year.
Part I's title track Oropós is a case in point; it is a feat in elegant, pared back simplicity. An insanely catchy vocal offsets an equally hooky bassline and percussion track. Somehow pulling off being dark and upbeat through something of a "haunted house" vibe, the piece is satisfyingly propelled forward by a menacing acid line.
Oropós then receives a massive rework courtesy of Crossbreed founder Kiwi. Also based in London, the artist showcases all his skills on an Edition that amps the power and the darkness of the original while adding a touch of reverie for very good measure.
Part I is satisfyingly rounded off by a second original, Melina (on Acid). Italo-drenched arpeggios glisten across a cosmic backdrop, atop an octave bass. The sounds of the night have never felt so good.
Three thrilling stories in sound. Watch out for follow up package Ta Paidia Tis Geitonias in the coming weeks.
