Raw Main’s creativity appears to be limitless. Writing music from his sound hive in France, his stories have been organically pollinating dance floors across the world. We are thankful to have him join Saisons with this colourful and energetic Alcazar EP.

The first song Alcazar is a romantic story told by a warm melodic ensemble fusing flamenco strings, house rhythms and analog sound design.

The second song Sodalita is a sensual piece led by an enchanting groove, sharing space for string pizzicatos, latin percussions and evolving synths.   We hope you resonate!

After participating in our “Bar 25 Music: Starlights Vol. 5” compilation, Groove Shack is back on the label with a solo release "Breathe", a unique blend of strings, pianos, and electronic elements, the artist has masterfully crafted productions that are both organic and perfectly suited for the dancefloor. Musique de Lune opens the fall season by welcoming VITE and Hole Box to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Mexico, both VITE and Hole Box have emerged from their country's avant-garde electronic landscape with a distinctive organic sound. Noted for their attention to detail, arcane musicality and inventive drum arrangements, the duo’s craft shines through vividly, making each one of their creations an absorbing experience. Roger Martinez’s new Higher States imprint launches this week with three stunning tracks from the man himself. With a career now spanning well over a decade, the Dutch artist’s transcendent style has long been a favourite of the world’s top DJs, landing him releases on some of progressive music’s most esteemed imprints in Lost & Found, Replug and Sudbeat. Now starting a new journey, Roger presents the inaugural release on Higher States.

Having spent the first month of 2019 touring Australia the ethos of this collection draws on inspiration from Roger’s experiences there. Beginning with ‘Dreamtime’ we get a free flowing journey of redolent rhythms and effervescent electronics. It’s near ten minute running time is fluid throughout, showcasing delicate motifs and organic designs. Mystical yet emotive, these aesthetics are backed by a warm, pulsating groove, underpinning the track and translating it’s spiritual message to the dance floor. Meanwhile, the collection’s second selection ‘Songlines’ comes across a bit deeper with a more spacious groove sitting at the foundation. Smooth and dynamic, Roger’s attention to detail is once again at a premium, with evocative themes building subtly into a glowing main break that ultimately sits at emotional core of the EP. Rounding out the release is the quirkier ‘Billabong’ which once again showcases Roger’s nomadic style. Quite fresh and rhythmically buoyant, it’s also esoteric in mood and delivery, thus a fitting end to a spiritually uplifting collection from Roger. It rounds out what is a stunning debut for Higher States, with Roger crafting some of his most inspired productions to date here. Highly recommended.
