La musique industrielle est un style de musique électronique aux thèmes transgressifs et provocateurs. Le terme apparaît au milieu des années 1970, à la suite de la fondation du label Industrial Records par le groupe Throbbing Gristle, et l'apparition du slogan « musique industrielle pour peuple industriel. ». AllMusic définit la musique industrielle comme « une fusion abrasive et agressive de rock et de musique électronique » ; « initialement un mélange d'expérimentation électronique d'avant-garde (musique concrète, synthétiseurs, séquenceurs, etc.) et d'un style provocateur similaire au punk. »

Les premiers musiciens du genre ont fait l'expérimentation de bruits accompagnés de sujets controversés, musicalement et visuellement, comme le fascisme, les tueries en série, et l'occultisme. Leur production ne se limite cependant pas qu'à la musique, mais implique également d'autres styles artistiques comme l'art postal, la performance, et l'installation. Les musiciens les plus importants de la musique industrielle incluent Throbbing Gristle, SPK, Boyd Rice, Cabaret Voltaire, et Z'EV. Les précurseurs ayant aidé au développement de ce genre musical impliquent des groupes de musique électronique tels que Kraftwerk, des groupes de rock expérimental tels que The Velvet Underground et Frank Zappa, des musiciens de rock psychédélique comme Jimi Hendrix, et des compositeurs comme John Cage. Les musiciens s'inspirent également de romanciers comme William S. Burroughs et philosophes comme Friedrich Nietzsche.

Initialement, le terme en lui-même s'applique au groupuscule d'artistes signé au label Industrial Records dans les années 1970, puis s'élargit pour définir par extension une musique aux aspects « industriels. » Ces musiciens élargissent le genre en repoussant les limites bruitistes puis tirés dans l'électronique. Au fil du temps, sa popularité s'accroit et le genre musical s'étend vers des sonorités ambient et rock, actuellement attribuées à la musique post-industrielle. L'électro-industriel est le premier sous-genre développé dans les années 1980. Les deux autres genres hybrides notables incluent le rock industriel et le metal industriel, joués par des groupes tels que Nine Inch Nails et Ministry, dont les albums sont certifiés disques de platine durant les années 1990. Ces trois genres peuvent être simplement appelés industriel. En France, la musique industrielle est représentée par des groupes comme Die Form, Étant donnés, Punish Yourself et Le Syndicat ou par des compositeurs tels que Jean-Marc Vivenza.

Xenomorph Productions is the name of my independent studio I work from primarily and to which I own. It is where I create music, do remixes, work on production or mastering of other peoples work, as well as my own and also where I conduct any graphic design or other creative subject from. Xenomorph Productions is known for the edgy sound and groove. Whether it is high energy EDM/Metal/Industrial or melodic downtempo Trip-Hop; Xenomorph Productions provides.
My music has been licensed to NASCAR, Disney, Americas Next Top Model, MTV Cribs, E-News, America’s Got Talent, Access Hollywood, Face Off, and more [check Licensing section]. I have done production work for Alphaville, KMFDM, as well as remixes for Rammstein, Juno Reactor, Nitzer Ebb, Alphaville, and many more [ check Remixes section ]
In terms of company and a bit of personal history my first release was in 1995 [ 4-track tape ] on a Norwegian Compilation CD. My musical journey started with the most basic equipment working my way from 100% analog up to today's digital setups. This allowed me to experience how things used to be created and recorded bringing that experience to the digital age. I have released music professionally since around the year 2000, giving me about 18 years of experience with music and the music industry.
I have written music in genres ranging from EDM/Industrial/Metal to Synth Pop/Trip-Hop and Orchestral.

"With roots grown from aggressive electronic artists such as Prodigy, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, and Frontline Assembly, Sebastian Komor
experimented with a variety of techno/EBM projects in the mid-90s before forming Icon of Coil with vocalist Andy LaPlegua in Norway, in 1997. Icon of Coil was soon signed to Tatra Records, and within a few short years was known worldwide as one of the seminal acts in the new Futurepop genre. The mid 2000s saw Komor expand into additional genres such as aggrotech and industrial dance with new projects Komor Kommando and Zombie Girl, both on Belgian label Alfa Matrix. Meanwhile Komor amassed a gargantuan list of remix credits for world-class artists including Apoptygma Berzerk, Theater Of Tragedy, VNV Nation, KMFDM, Alphaville, Celldweller, Front Line Assembly, and Juno
Reactor.
In late '07, Sebastian came to the attention of FiXT Music. in 2010, FiXT released Komor's full-length Squarehead and Moonitor projects. Most recently Komor has put all of his focus on Melt, a full-band industrial metal machine now signed to Metropolis Records."
